Publisher's summary

Is Stephanie Duran serial killer bait?

Stephanie Duran never considered herself a heroine. Her life was a series of poor choices and failed relationships, until she stumbled upon a mysterious portal that allowed her to travel to the past to save lives.

While on a trek to save the victims of a serial killer, something evil hitched a ride back with Stephanie, destroying her home and almost killing her. Traumatized by her near-death experience, Stephanie suffers from self-doubt and questions her ability to change fate.

When a horrendous string of grotesque murders is suddenly thrust upon her community, Stephanie knows she is being sent a message, but is she up for the challenge?

Devastated by the knowledge she is responsible for unleashing evil into the present, Stephanie will need to summon all her courage and face her past, before evil finds her and finishes what it started.

Intrigue suspense and drama

Strong characters slightly flawed with a well developed storyline. Daniela Acitelli does an amazing job bringing Stephanie to life. Great book,

Great Read

Fury: Unleashed (The Scorned Series Book Two) was a great read by R.E. Sargent. Stephanie's life changed drastically when she stumbled upon a mysterious portal that allows her to travel to the past to save lives. She is on a trip to save victims of a serial killer, when something evil hitches a ride back with her. During her brush at death, she starts having self-doubt and questions what she's doing. Unfortunately when a violent string of murders happens in her community, Stephanie knows that she has unleashed evil. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Not the finest book

The story is very predictable and the characters are one dimensional and boring.

Daniela Acitelli will hopefully become a better narrator as she has the voice. She sounds like she is simply reading and there are only one or two inflections throughout the entire book.

I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, narrator, and/or publisher.

suspend your beliefs before proceeding

Stephanie seems to be a one woman vigilante and superhero for the down trodden. A fantastical tale with a great deal of suspension of beliefs is necessary to listen to this. I had a strong suspension about Earl, and I was correct about his identity. It was kind of humorous how Earl died three times. I guess she needed to work out her aggression somewhere, and now she doesn't need therapy. LOL! I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job with voices and expressions.

Tough listen

The story was ok. Was easy to get into since it was a continuation of the first book. The ending was a bit predictable but still interesting. Just as the first book, the narrator reads as if she’s a kindergarten teacher. This writers attempt at humor in the form of “playful banter” is just ridiculous. Add the fact that the narrator has absolutely no grasp of the proper inflections needed for “banter” and i almost had to stop listening. I’m glad I got through it and made it to the end as it really is a decent and interesting story.

Love It!!!!

What an awesome story. I absolutely love how it pretty much starts where book 1 ended. This audiobook had me hooked from start to finish. I had mixed emotions throughout the story, but overall love the ending!!
