I was thinking

I thought this was suppose to be about Ryan and the new assistant but I did enjoy the story and being a mom it’s was hard to hear about the tragedies.

I have a love hate relationship with R.L. Mathewso

For example, she left a crumb trail in book one of the anger management series, and I desoerately want to know what hapoened to the lady and the kid and Ryan.

another example is she took to halfway in this book to hook the two books together to make it an actual series, though I admit when she finally hooked them together....it was supremely satisfying. The hookup left me with a beautiful Ahhh thats how yhe circles cross. and a loud bought doggone time.

I love her character develipment, i love the complexity of emotion and face it I love snark, I really enjoy her writing. (I almost even like her Pyte/sentinal series....if it involves vamps its an automatic no ,but I have read them. her writings good but vamps and Pytes....oh the endless angst...)

by the way....there are a few sneaky tear jerker moments in this book. as in they are little bottle rockets, startling and noisy. but not devestating.

Great Book

I loved this book. from the grumpiness to the love story to the deviation. I couldn't stop listening to it.

Heart breaking and inspiring...

I just have to say WOW. This was such a grabbing, loving, and heartwretching story that pulls you in and holds you.. You really need to jump on board to this emotional Rollercoaster. You will not regret it.

Brilliantly written and addictive

As with all of RL Mathewson’s books, this book kept me reading and listening till the end. I honestly couldn’t stop till I was at the end it was so tremendously good!!! Chase is so very angry and antagonistic while Sloane just wants to do her job. They are great at being antagonistic to each other in different ways that can make you laugh your a** off. Watching them go through things and wondering how they will do and what the outcome will be was brilliantly written. There are peeks into Chase’s past that gives you insight to why he’s so very angry and you get upset for him. Sloane is such an amazing character you fall in love with her and hope for the best for her she’s so ingenious with her approach to Chase at times. You’ll laugh, be angry for the characters, cry, laugh some more and wish them well. This book is such an amazing read!!

Separate Stories

At the end of book one there is a teaser for Ryan’s story. When book to was written about Chase (a whole new character) I was lost at first. Hunter, Ryan, and Grey all appear in this book as supporting characters. I really wanted to hear Ryan’s story and there is a teaser in this one of a budding romance for Grey that I would love to read. I loved this book but felt lost, confused, and disappointed with the move between books and lack of information as to whether or not there will be other books in this series. Maybe the other men in this series are part of a different series?

I loved everything about this book. The real life struggles of having life changing injuries and how it affects your not only your body but your mind too.
This story also deals with the morality and commitment to do your job or take a chance and follow your heart. The chemistry was a slow burn but when it ignited it was a blazing fire. This story was funny, heartbreaking and romantic. I hope there’s more coming in this series.
The narration was wonderful. Their performances of these characters was stellar.
This is book 2 with an HEA and can be read as a standalone.
I highly recommend this book/series!
