Story
Told from four-year-old Laura's point of view, this story begins in 1871 in a little log cabin on the edge of the Big Woods of Wisconsin. Laura lives in the little house with her pa, her ma, her sisters Mary and Carrie, and their trusty dog, Jack. Pioneer life is sometimes hard for the family, since they must grow or catch all their own food as they get ready for the cold winter. But it is also exciting as Laura and her family celebrate Christmas with homemade toys and treats, do the spring planting, bring in the harvest, and make their first trip into town.

It’s two months before Amelia’s big audition for the Mystwick School of Musicraft. If she gets in, she will learn to spin music into powerful magic - but her Gran has one last-ditch plan to persuade her out of it: sports camp. A week of softball, sprinting, and sweaty socks isn't exactly Amelia’s idea of a good time - in fact, she's deeply, appallingly unathletic. By the end of day one, she’s puked her guts out in track, gotten a black eye in no-contact flag football, and firmly established herself as the Least Valuable Player at camp.

perfect for kids!
This book is such a fun and cute way to learn about the new testament! I immediately play it to my baby niece and nephew the moment I reached chapter 2. I really like how the stories stayed true to the Bible even though it is simplified for kids to understand. I actually like that it is simplified because even as an adult, I get intimidated sometimes by the language used in the original Bible. Another good point about this book is that it is broken up into easy to consume chapters, that doesn't go past 5 minutes, because you know how kids nowadays have really short attention span haha! I also looove how the book would give a little sneak preview what's coming up in the next chapter. It really keeps the kids excited for the next story and makes them genuinely interested in the Bible. (Even I get kinda excited sometimes!)
If you want an easy-to-consume kids bedtime audio book, WHILE teaching them something valuable, then this is a great option for you. (you don't even have to read it because it is already being narrated for you.) It's a great way to put your kids in a good state of mind before they go to sleep. If there is an improvement I could suggest for this book, it is just I wish the narration could be more varied. The narrator did a pretty good job using different tones for different characters but the narrator voice was a bit monotonous. BUT this might just be my own subjective opinion. All in all, I think this is a great educational and fun gift you can get for your kids, and even yourself! (i received a free download to leave this honest review.)

Nailed it
Me and my son have really enjoyed this audiobook. The combination of the music, the narrator's voice, and the short stories were perfect. Usually, my son will have a bunch of questions afterward so we’ll have our discussion till he falls asleep. Also, it’s great to make some time for valuable lessons and insight since most of the day children are watching these nonsense programs and shows.
I would defiantly recommend this audiobook for parents having a hard time to get their children to sleep. It could be amusing to listen on the road as well.

Great listen for the whole family.
I enjoyed listening to the bible stories narrated in this audiobook. I think the narrator did a great job using different voices throughout each of the stories to keep it interesting for kids. It was easy to set up an auxiliary cord to hook up my phone to my car’s speakers so my kids could listen to the stories while driving to school, make errands, etc.
After each story, I had the chance to ask my kids what they heard and learned from each story.
I also liked the added touch of music at the beginning of each chapter.
I would say this audiobook is suitable for kids 7 years and older.
There were even 3 bonus stories from the old testament.

God Is Disappointed in You is for people who would like to read the Bible...if it would just cut to the chase. Stripped of its arcane language and interminable passages, every book of the Bible is condensed down to its core message, in no more than a few pages each. Written by Mark Russell with cartoons by New Yorker cartoonist Shannon Wheeler, God Is Disappointed in You is a frequently hilarious, often shocking, but always accurate retelling of the Bible, including the parts selectively left out by Sunday School teachers.

Charles Dickens wrote The Life of Our Lord around the same time he was finishing up David Copperfield, but to listeners raised on a diet of Dickensian wit and indignation, his rendering of Jesus' life may come as something of a surprise. You won't find even the shadow of a Micawber or a Mrs. Gamp anywhere in this brief volume; no Pecksniffs, Podsnaps, or Mulberries, either.

Story
God Is Disappointed in You is for people who would like to read the Bible...if it would just cut to the chase. Stripped of its arcane language and interminable passages, every book of the Bible is condensed down to its core message, in no more than a few pages each. Written by Mark Russell with cartoons by New Yorker cartoonist Shannon Wheeler, God Is Disappointed in You is a frequently hilarious, often shocking, but always accurate retelling of the Bible, including the parts selectively left out by Sunday School teachers.

Story
Why does the Bible contain so many stories of hurting people? Though their situations vary, their conditions don't. They have nowhere to turn. Yet before their eyes stands a never-say-die Galilean who majors in stepping in when everyone else steps out. Lucado reminds us that the purpose of these portraits isn't to tell us what Jesus did-but rather to remind us what Jesus still does.

Story
Mark Russell & Shannon Wheeler's faithful yet irreverent approach to the Bible made their book God Is Disappointed in You a modern cult classic. Now, by popular demand, they turn their attention to the best parts left out of the canonical Bible, including the Midrash, the Apocrypha, Gnostic Gospels, and more! And if you thought the Bible had some weird stuff in it....

Story
Francis and Jesus is the story of how the poor and humble St. Francis of Assisi gave away all to gain all, sharing in God's kingdom on Earth. Francis' life exemplifies what it means to be a genuine disciple of Jesus, walking in Christ's footsteps to show how ultimate truth is lived in small, unique ways. Franciscan Father Murray Bodo takes us on the journey with Francis, as we see his pain, his suffering, his dying to self. On that difficult road we are reminded that death to self creates new life....

Story
My name will mean nothing to you, but my story is a re-telling of the greatest story ever told and should mean everything to everyone. My story comes forth now because now is the promised day when satanic doubt spreads like black ink, threatening to blot out His very name, to reduce Him to nothing more than a teacher, to erase the eternal truths He taught and Lived. That cannot happen. Jesus was who He said He was. I know because I was there in the shadows of His holy footsteps. His miracles were real. I know because I am one of those miracles.

Story
Do you know that the Sumerians believed that: The moon was actually a god child conceived unintentionally by the God Enlil and a maid? Or that humans were first created to do the chores on earth for the Gods and Goddesses? The ancient Sumerians lived a difficult life, and this is reflected in their myths. However, also reflected in their stories is their love for justice and the values which they most supported, among them beauty, honor, and truthfulness.
