Publisher's Summary

Urban Books publisher Carl Weber brings together two popular literary divas to give listeners what they've been asking for: empowering stories about big, beautiful women.

Desa Rae Jenkins and her 20-something-year-old playmate are back with drama only the two of them can bring. Roc has been released from prison, and he's trying to show Desa Rae that his past life is well behind him, but his baby mama and his playa-hating uncle want Desa Rae out of the picture. This 42-year-old plus-size diva will have to decide when enough is enough! No man is worth all this drama, is he? But then again, no man can put it down like Roc.

Chyanne Johnson has tried to steer clear of drama since she was old enough to be out on her own. She's content with her mundane position at Atlanta's top marketing firm, but all of that changes when sexy CEO Aric McHale promotes her to be his executive assistant. This position comes with a lethal dose of seduction, sex so good that sometimes she has problems remembering her own name, and a man she finds it hard to say no to. But everything that feels good isn't good for you. Aric and his demons are sure to make this a ride she will never forget!

Age is just a number, and whoever said that full-figured women don't know how to bring fire to a relationship was sadly mistaken.

Enjoyed the story but the narrator was terrible

Clearly the narrator was new. Too many awkward pauses and saying the wrong names. Terrible editing.

Pretty Basic

If you like the first book you will like this one. To me the book is pretty basic. Des and Roc continue to go through the same up and down turmoil. The narrator was simply horrible. She paused in the middle of the sentence and it disrupted the flow of the book. Once she used the wrong name replacing Reggie with Ronnie. Is there a director or editor. It makes me not want to continue on with the series.

Pathetic

I thought maybe part 2 of Brenda Hampton's story of drama and love about Desa Rae Jenkins would be about how the 40+ full figured got smart, found love with a man who was stable, stress free and mature with no side chick situations. Instead I was left with a story that left me shaking my head in disgust. A 42 year old woman dealing with cheating, guns being pulled on her, violent baby mama drama and domestic situations is just ridiculous and stupid. The only good thing about the relationship with Roc was the sex. I don't plan on continuing to read any of her other stories about them. The second story wasn't much better. Domestic abuse, partner rape(yes I said rape because that is exactly what was described) weaved into a supposed love story left me disgusted. Nikki Michelle missed the mark with her story. Her heroine was a passive aggressive woman with no self esteem who allowed herself to be degraded by the man she was with and disrespected by her so-called friend. Fiction or not give me a break. Is that supposed to be a good read? I could barely finish it.

Performance

while I do like the series, I struggled with the narrator and the constant pausing of sentences and misreading of the words. Also noises in the background. I have listened to many books but this one I was not impressed with the performance.

Poor portrait of women

I will not listen to another Full Figured book again. The ending was not complete and I didn’t like the behavior of any of the men, except one, written within the story. All the men had to be dogs? I been listening to other ebooks and all the men were upstanding, hard working family men. I didn’t even like the story line as I listened but wanted Shyann to leave Eric though out the book.

Not happy with the narrator

I feel that the narrator Ida Belle struggled reading this book, i felt like I was listening to a person who struggles to read- it an easy flow telling the story. I wouldn’t search or follow any of her readings. I wanted to finish the book but not listen to her voice or reading. Hopefully there will be a different narrator on the next book.

Good stories but the narrator was irritating me,

I wanted to return it because her voice is great but alot of the time her delivery and pauses didn't match the story.or current situation.

Ok

I really liked both of these books and would recommend them. They both had great storylines and sexual storylines. I wish God's name was taken in vain. If not for that I would have given 5 stars.

The first book I like the couple and glad that she put herself and children first. I can't wait to hear more of their story. It was brave what Roc did for their safety.

The second book was crazy and I would like to hear more. The first time he disrespected her should have been the last.
