Acerca de esta escucha

Dear Listener,

The temperature's on "sizzle" again in Beaumont, South Carolina, where peach trees are in season and ripe for the picking. So is its newest entrepreneur, Annie Fortenberry, who has inherited her grandmother's B&B (and its eccentric handyman Erdle Thorney). According to a local psychic, she also inherited a spirit from its glory days as a brothel - not the kind of publicity the Peach Tree Bed & Breakfast needs if it's hosting millionaire Max Holt's upcoming wedding!

If rumors of a naughty, prank-playing ghost aren't stressful enough, a mysterious man has arrived with an eye on Annie and her master suite. Wes Bridges is all leather and denim, sporting a two-day beard, straddling a Harley, and sending the B&B's testosterone level through the roof.

Annie's cool demeanor may be dropping as fast as Wes' jeans, but leave it to her missing ex-husband to dampen the passion! Turns out someone has done him in, and all evidence points to Annie! Wrapped up in a murder plot, Annie must find the killer, save her own neck, and get back to where she was - wrapped up in Wes' strong, loving arms.

We guarantee that you're going to have as much fun listening to Full Bloom as we had writing it! (Even if we were surprised by the ending!) And you won't want to miss the hair-raising shenanigans when Fleas, the hound dog, meets the most cantankerous, snooty, bad-tempered, 22-pound orange cat.

The story was ok, but I couldn’t finish the book. I couldn’t handle the different voices the reader used. ESPECIALLY the high pitched one! Made me cringe.

Would you consider the audio edition of Full Bloom to be better than the print version?

Didn't read the book.

What did you like best about this story?

Easy reading, couldn't put it down. Nice short summer romance. A sequel would be great.

What does Lorelei King bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Lorelei is a very good reader. She gets the character down to total believable. She brings all the emotions and attitudes of the characters Great Job!!!.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

And she didn't do it.

Cute Story

This is such a great story, I loved all of the characters. It’s one of those books that pull you in right from the beginning-know what I mean? I love a good mystery, so I sorta thought that I had it figured out (while still being pulled in by the story) but I was wrong. I actually caught myself thinking about the characters even when I wasn’t listening.
I would love to see them take a character from this book and then do a spin off book..
Janet Evanovich is my favorite author, so I will happily read any book that she’s written or co-written.
I absolutely love the way Charlotte Hughes and Janet Evanovich mesh. It shows in the way they tell this story. I notice that I actually smile while I’m reading/listening to this book.
I soooooo recommend this book!!!
As for the narration, there have been more than one book that I couldn’t finish because the narrator was so bad………However, Lorelei King does such a great job. I actually look for books that she’s narrating.
Bottom Line-I highly recommend this book 😎

I loved this so much!

The writing is excellent. There are some truly funny, laugh out loud bits. Sadly, the story is merely a vehicle for Wes and Annie to get it on.

Annie’s husband has disappeared, gone off with another woman, she thinks. What’s a woman to do but run the B&B her eccentric grandmother left her. Of course it used to be a bordello, so innuendos abound. I used to be in the military, so I am used to people with sex on the brain, but really? Every other comment is about sex. And then Wes shows up to rent a room and moves so quickly on Annie my head spins. Of course she is overcome with wet panties. Of course she doesn’t question his motives. Of course she loses control while he chuckles smugly. I hate that, the smug so many authors put on their men. She’s weak, she needs a man to take care of her, and he is smug and in control. Geez, give a girl a backbone, please. And a brain. Oh, and some action other than fretting and making supper. I am not a feminist, but it would be so nice to not have to search so very hard for a heroine who isn’t pathetic.

Unbelievable
