From the Ashes

I really enjoyed the second half of From the Ashes and am glad I kept reading. There was so much mystery around what Piper actually was that the first half was almost uncomfortable for me to listen to, especially once the complication of Merc's mood swings was added. I loved all the characters and how they grew throughout the story, though. Jase and Dean are phenomenal. There are still a lot of unanswered questions I'm hoping will be answered in the next book.

Vampires, Werewolves, and Magic galore

I really enjoyed this story. I love the narrator. Her male voices are pretty great, and she reads with great fluidity which allows me to sink into the story. As for the book, the plot had me very intrigued. I love the way that the book is broken up so it's almost like a series in one book. The plot was something I hadn't read before, and I'm excited to see what happens in the next book. There is a bit of a love triangle and a bit of abuse that happens, so if either of those turn you off, this is not the book for you. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and will definitely be grabbing book 2!

Oh Amber, how I love thee!!!!

I’m always skeptical about starting a new series. I always feel a little disloyal and anxious about disappointment. But this book and series have been really good. I’m not 100% sold on the narrator yet, but I’m getting used to her. I just loved the narrator from Unborn. It also bugs me that they both pronounce “Natusch” differently. Is it long or short?!?!

Good story

Love the story ... however, the f word is completely unnecessary, disgusting, & filthy, does NOTHING for the story. Used FAR TOO MUCH in every one's every day, every minute speech.

Sorry, I so wanted to like this

So, I am always up for a good story and romance but seriously . . . This had no continued plot. How can your main character disregard her major romance with no serious explanation to move on to a new “life long mate” (not even reflecting on the “event”).

I just kept thinking - where is this going?

Love how Amber interweaves her characters with a plot that is so stunning. Vibrant and rich with characters. That are just are as remarkable in their qualities, as in their faults. .

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

A few words were pronounced incorrectly, which was distracting, but beyond that it was fine.

Was From the Ashes worth the listening time?

I think it has potential. It didn't make sense why Piper fell in love with Merc or Knox so fast though. The author told us but didn't really show us. Which made it kind of irritating that a love triangle is being set up.

loved the story and ready to read the sequel. the narrator was excellent. most memorable moment was when Merc helped Piper heal her werewolf friend and told her it was for her then walked away.

Great New Find!!!!

Wonderfully well written I have never read Amber Lynn Natusch before now has a new giant fan. I am gonna do my best not to give a spoilers away. Book is filled with tons of action, love, drama,animal whisper, worrier ,bunch of faithful misfits all this and more in this book . Pick your copy up immediately you won't be disappointed.
