Publisher's summary

Friendship on Fire is the sixth book in the Love in Bloom series. While Friendship on Fire can be experienced as a standalone novel, for even more listening enjoyment you may want to hear the Love in Bloom series in series order.

Small-town overachiever Riley Banks has finally scored her big break - working in Manhattan as a fashion design assistant for her childhood crush, Josh Braden. She enters her new job hoping to make a name for herself and - just maybe - explore the romance that slipped through her fingers way back when.

Josh Braden has models at his beck and call, a staff that never says never, and an elegant clothing line for the holiday season. When he hires Riley Banks, he expects her to learn the business from the ground up. But the girl next door turns out to be much more than he remembered.

Josh and Riley's friendship heats up. Every steamy kiss and every erotic caress stirs a love they cannot deny. But when Riley designs a wedding gown that would cause even the most jaded fashion editors to swoon, Riley's mentor accuses her of stealing the design.

Facing indisputable proof and the mistrust of her lover, Riley is not sure she can take the heat of life in the fast lane of the fashion industry - and Josh is forced to choose between the woman he loves and the career he adores.

A Great Fashionable Romance with a Twist

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. Love this Series. The author does an excellent job of telling a story that gets your blood running with the suspense and romance. Couldn't put this audiobook down. Just like all the others. The author is very talented at developing each of the characters with their individual personalities. Because of that, they are easy to remember throughout the series. Although I would prefer duet narration, the narrator does a good job with each of the characters and their personalities.

Friends to Lovers

Oh man, I love Riley and Josh's story. Friendship is such a strong foundation to build love upon and these two are the perfect example of it. The love, humor, and just awe moments are wonderful in this story and I love the ability to listen to the story as I do my daily work and homework. Believe it or not, it makes anything more entertaining when you get to hear a Melissa Foster love story.

Great Read

Friendship on Fire (The Bradens at Wesont, CO #3) was another great read by Melissa Foster. I loved reading Josh and Riley’s story, we met them in Destined for Love. Riley has come from a small town and has finally gotten her big break as a fashion design assistant in Manhattan. She is working for her childhood crush, Josh. Their friendship heated up while she worked for him. I loved reading this book and I can’t wait to read more by Melissa Foster. B.J. Harrison did a great job of narrating the book and keeping you enthralled in what is happening to the characters.

Fun, easy, sexy, and oh so steamy.

What did you love best about Friendship on Fire?

Riley Banks has finally seen her dreams start to come true. She has a job as a fashion design assistant in Manhattan working for her high school crush, Josh Braden. Josh and Riley’s friendship heats up quickly once she gets settled into Josh’s sisters apartment and starts her new job. With steamy kisses and hot caresses their love blooms and they cannot deny their feelings. When Riley’s mentor, Claudia, accuses her of stealing a design from her, Riley’s is doubting her life as a fashion designer and her life with Josh.

Melissa Foster did not disappoint. With each book in this series I have seriously crushed on the leading men. Josh fell right into that crush area. He is sexy, rich, independent, and successful. He is also loving, faithful, and protective of those he loves. I love that each of the leading women in the books is also successful and strong willed. Riley does not let Josh walk over her, whether in their love life or in her career. She struggles with Josh’s love and how their relationship will be perceived in their work place.

This series of books are easy to read. Fun, easy, sexy, and oh so steamy. Friendship on Fire showed real life struggles, family values (standing by what you believe), and love. I highly recommend this book and the entire series to all chic-lit lovers.

Great Story!

I really enjoyed this story and having New York City as the backdrop, even better. Watching Josh and Riley realize their true feelings toward each other but having to walk that fine line of going public or keeping their relationship private, was very interesting. I loved meeting Mia and all the other personalities at JBD, and I was oh so happy when Claudia got what she deserved. As always, I loved the Braden family being there for each other and the ending was perfect for these two fashion designers. Great story by Melissa Foster. I listened to this story as an audiobook narrated by B.J. Harrison. I enjoy his narration and liked how he narrated Josh and his sophistication and Claudia and her air of haughtiness. I always feel like he does a good job with Hal’s narration as well. My favorite part of the audiobook was the conversion between Hal and Josh at the restaurant, perfect moment which made me tear up. He is always consistent with his narration.

Absolutely amazing Audiobook

If you could sum up Friendship on Fire in three words, what would they be?

This book is hot, passionate and such a great read.

What other book might you compare Friendship on Fire to and why?

I compare this book to any of the Braden books. They are all amazing and sizzling. They all each have a different story but those Braden men are all such amazing guys. Any girl would be lucky.

Have you listened to any of B. J. Harrison’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is my 3rd or 4th audiobook and each one B.J. Harrison has narrated. He does such a great job getting into the characters and those voices he does for each one. Great great.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

If this book were made into a movie, i think i would call it the same as the title. Friendship on Fire is exactly what this book is.

Any additional comments?

This was such a great audiobook and it was my pleasure listening to it.

Great story!!

This was another great book by Ms. Foster as the Love in Bloom series continues. I enjoyed reading Josh and Riley's journey to love as the pair navigate their feelings and insecurities along the way as well as the conflicts of their boss/employee relationship despite having feelings for each other from their youth. I enjoyed the return of the characters from the previous books in the series as a means to catch up with their story as well as the developing stories that can come out of this series. I enjoyed the narration of this book in that the narrator did well in the telling of this story making the entire story flow well. I also enjoyed how well the narrator did with differentiating the different characters of the story making them unique to their personalities and realistic to listen to. I enjoyed this story from start to finish and would recommend it to others.

How do you handle being in love with your boss?

Would you listen to Friendship on Fire again? Why?

YES! I have already read it in print and listened to it. I would totally listen again. The book totally captured my attention and made me feel a wide variety of emotions.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Friendship on Fire?

The most memorable moment to me is when Riley first finds out about what Claudia had been hiding/accused her of.

What does B. J. Harrison bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

When I am listening to an audio book, I feel like my brain is more focused on absorbing and visualizing. I think being able to "hear" the characters allows me to focus more on the visualization.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both! There was at least once or twice when I cried as well as times that made me smile or laugh.

Any additional comments?

I am now addicted to listening to Melissa's books, even the ones I've read in print previously!

What a wonderful tale of love

Josh and Riley had secret crushes on each other for years. Time has past and Josh is now a super successful designer and Riley is just entering the business. And their budding love is threatened by a jealous and vindicate rival. Can their love withstand this challenge?

Once again Melissa Foster has woven a tale so life like that you feel like you could see these characters walking down the street beside you. The narrator brings Melissa's words to life and makes for a very enjoyable "read". Enjoy.
