Hear musicians Zac and Ethan Holtzman, TV critic David Bianculli, and book critic Maureen Corrigan on this edition of Fresh Air.

The Holtzman's band is Dengue Fever. They have a new album, Venus on Earth. Their music is inspired by Cambodian pop of the sixties and seventies, which itself was inspired by American pop played over U-S Armed Forces Radio during the Vietnam War.

Then, David Bianculli reviews two live network television events from this past weekend. The 80th Annual Academy Awards telecast on ABC and a new episode of Saturday Night Live on NBC were able to proceed because the writers' strike ended.

Finally, Maureen Corrigan reviews Fanon a novel by John Edgar Wideman. [Broadcast Date: February 25, 2008]
