This Story Is Sexy

Publisher's Summary

When Tucker Branch, playboy heir to Branch Bolt and Screw, screws and bolts a week before their wedding, Mia Devine wants nothing more than to crawl under her newly monogrammed sheets and plan a funeral for her dignity. But her friends convince her that bitter tastes better when it's drowned in Bordeaux, so Mia grits her teeth and packs her bags, determined to make the best of her luxurious Paris honeymoon-alone.She never planned on meeting Lucas Fournier. The easygoing bartender's scruffy good looks and less-than-sympathetic ear annoy her at first, but when she takes him up on his offer to show her around the city, she discovers that the romance of Paris isn't just a myth. The last thing Mia needs is another doomed love affair, but since she only has a week, she figures she might as well enjoy her time with Lucas while she can. But each day-and night-with Lucas is better than the last, and suddenly her heart is telling her that this is more than a rebound fling.

Critic Reviews

"One of my favorite romances ever, Frenched has it all, from the sexy charming hero to the clever dialogue to the dreamy Parisian setting. And it has the most delicious treat of all-sweet, scorching, passionate, toe-curling, fan-me-with-palm-fronds sexy scenes." (Lauren Blakely, New York Times best-selling author)

Enjoyable

The storyline is not a new. But it has a different angle I guess. I just really enjoyed the love story part of these two characters. I am not so young so the sex became a bit much. I wanted to know how they worked things out. It is worth the credit. A good listen. A good narrator. I love good dialog and this one was good.

The city of Love!

Absolutely loved this book! Mia and Lucas are scorching hot together! After being dumped a week before her wedding, Mia's best friends convince her to go to Paris for her honeymoon. When she gets there, she gets a bit depressed after seeing all the couples in love and therefore takes herself to a bar where she meets a sexy bartender, Lucas. After hearing her story, Lucas offers to show her the sights. What ensues after will have your body burning!! What a trip!

Super cute!

Really well done, realistic, light hearted romance. Both main characters were very likable - makes you want a sequel

I'd get Frenched all over again

This book made me feel like I was in the story. My emotions went up and down with each situation. Melanie writes a super hot panty melting story. The narrator did bring more to the story then I had when reading the book. Seriously I wouldn't mind getting Frenched over and over again.

Great story; give me hope!

Great story but I would listen to any book Jillian Macie read she brings the human factor to the characters with her carefree tone. I love her!

great story but didn't like narration

Would you listen to Frenched again? Why?

No, the narrator sounded like Jennifer Tilly and I didn't like her Lucas voice.

What didn’t you like about Jillian Macie’s performance?

I did not like her Lucas voice - did not sound like a guy at all.

Drawn out and shallow

No plot complexity. Not even very erotic or steamy. Unrealistic, completely predictable, just boring. A shallow read, and heavy on the saccharine. Annoying narrator on top of it. Sorry, not my thing.

Don't waste time or money!

DNF
Couldn't stand the narrator. By chapter 7, I was done. No chemistry, ditzy female. And I think the author said Lucas' hair was greasy? WTF? Just no. Couldn't like these two.

Frenched Silly

This book takes a sad situation and makes it fantastic. It's romantic and funny with the right amount of hot! Makes you believe in fate and love at first site.

Romantic comedy at it's best

This book was the most perfect, funny and romantic book imaginable. I was in a bit of a book downer before this but it pulled me out of it completely.

Mia has been jilted and goes to Paris to make the most of the honeymoon alone. It seems she's made a big mistake, surrounded by romantic couples. She ends up in a bar and Lucas serves her. Lucas convinces her not to jump on the next plane home by offering to be her tour guide for the following day. Lucas is completely outside of her boyfriend profile. These two had chemistry off the charts and I loved every minute of this read.

If possible this was even better on audio than ebook. Great narration that hit all the emotions and it gave me all the feels!
