ENJOYABLE, an extremely EFFICIENT learning method , LOVELY NARRATION

This is the second Lingo Mastery audiobook i'm listening , and they both incredibly made me understand more and more of what i'm hearing in french to the point of not having to read what i'm hearing in order to understand in a very short time.

At the beginning i was a complete begginer, no previous education on french - first i was reading the text of the lingo stories in order to know what it is about and after that i was listening it's narration.

After that i tried reading and listening at the same time because i still wasnt able to understand what i'm hearing without seeing the text.

The third step was listening to a story first and then reading it in order to verify if i understood everything.

Now, after completing this audiobook i am able to understand most of what i'm hearing (80%) without even feeling the need to read the text afterwards.

And this is what i was seeking through those audiobooks!

I know that i'm still at the beginning and i'm trying in parallel to read about french grammar in order to understand rationally how sentences are formed in french. I think it's not suficient to rely solely on listening stories, even if i see they are incredibly efficient.

Her voice was a very important reason why i liked so much and gave priority to lingo mastery stories and after this "French stories for begginers 1" i'm going to enjoy her narration in "French stories for begginers vol 2".

I'm also going to purchase in the future "French stories for intermediates" from Lingo Mastery where she continues to be the narrator.

Hesitated at first but turned out to be wonderful

I took french in highschool but it's been years. I did not know how learning a language would translate to this medium. I was pleasantly surprised.

Like i said it's been years since I've touched the language so this version was perfect for me. I needed the hand holding. This is only a beginners course and i'm not sure how serious i am in learning the language but i can see these books being really useful for someone who wants to dip their toes in this beautiful language.

Great way to learn French

This is a great way to learn French. It is challenging and if you are serious about learning French you are going to have to put in the study time and not just drive around listening.
They first read a story in French and give you a brief summary in English. The story lasts approximately 5 minutes. They spend about another 10 minutes on vocabulary words. I think there are 20 stories. They say the word in French then English twice. I have found it more effective to go back and listen several times rather than move on to the next story. As you practice saying the words and you hear them over and over you can start to pick them out of the story.
In addition, you can download the book in pdf. This is where you need to go if you are serious. Listen as you read along. Also it helps to see how words are spelled. I have gone through the first story and translated all of the words I didn't know. As you go along and learn you will need to translate fewer and fewer words. After following along in the book, you will hear so many more words.
This is not an "easy" way to learn French. There is not an easy way to learn another language. Language is hard! But this way is effective and it is fun.

Very helpful

This is a great addition to your language learning lessons. I find it hard sometimes to understand oral French and this audiobook really helps to improve your comprehension. The stories are varied and are a great way to learn new words as well. It includes a pdf with the dialog of the stories to help either follow along or improve your reading comprehension as well. Highly recommend this audiobook if you are looking to improve your French skills.
