Well Written

Well written treatise of a tumultuous period in world history and the man at the center of it all. Amazing how this brief historical period so severely affected the world and European history.

Nice and Informative

This book gives a wonderful overview of a tumultuous time in France's and Europe's history and sets the base for the deeper study of certain times or events should one desire.

Very Informative

I thoroughly liked this book. In sharp contrast to so many other books out there on the French Revolution, this one read like a fast-paced action novel!

Wrong title

This book is about Marie-Antoinette, not about the French Revolution or Napoleon. Good story, but wrong title.

The Renaissance History

I really liked this book knowing very little about the French revolution before. He was a very audacious and lucky man until he let his ambition run away with him. A good audiobook.

Interesting

It was very easy to get lost without an overview, and this book did the trick rather quickly and painlessly.

Excellent

This is an excellent starter book for reading about la révolution in English. It is old, hence it being free or cheap, but the book is so short that there is little room for embellishment like one often finds in old scholarship, and Hazen takes a very straightforward approach.

A worthy read!

The history of the FR in a terse and flavorful delivery. Well done. Great condensation of a complicated piece of world history.
