Night is Kia’s favorite time, when she freeruns to outdistance the memories of abuse she suffered as a young child. But when former reality television star Terrence Jones arrives at their school as the new head track coach, things begin to change in unpredictable ways. Kia tries out for the team to fit in, but just as she’s gaining a new sense of normal, her abuser steps back into her life. Not only that, but being on the track team causes even more turmoil.

Why does the assistant coach, Cassandra Clark, dislike Terrence Jones so much, and even more troubling, why does Coach Clark dislike her so much? As the pieces of the puzzle begin to come together, Kia realizes she has to choose between running from her past or saving a child from the same sort of abuse she suffered. OUTSTANDING job!

Kathy did a wonderful job with this book. I could relate to all of the characters in the book. once starting I could not stop listening until I was finished.

Shara did a wonderful job reading. you good feel the tension and Innovation throughout the book. these two ladies did a wonderful job writing and reading and makes me want to listen to them more.

A book about a family torn apart by the prejudices and hatred of the Patriarch of the family and the bravery of one of his victims to protect other young children . Even as he makes her out a liar.

Hope in Darkness

This was such an amazing story of forgiveness and love. It was somewhat predictable, but I'm glad it ended the way it did and that some characters got their "just reward".
