God Bless Frank McCourt!

Iwish this performance was longer! I have read all three books by Frank McCourt and cherished each story as they have reflected aspects of my life. As a former teacher I praise him for his honesty about the profession - the day-to-day drudge, the lack of respect from others, the sustaining thrill of a positive review from a former student, etc. A fun aspect to this performance was the introduction by McCourt's oldest & youngest brothers. Hearing the banter between the three brought new life to Frank's stories.

Not just for TEACHERS…GREAT LISTEN for EVERYONE!

Would you consider the audio edition of Frank McCourt at the 92nd Street Y to be better than the print version?

DEFINITELY!

Any additional comments?

Great performance by an "Ordinary" Extraordinary Teacher Man. Insightful and FUN at the same time!

From One Teacher to Another

After reading so much about Frank McCourt and his brothers, it was a treat to listen to him and to them. Being a teacher myself, I certainly identified with the stories he had to tell. I would have loved to be in his class.

Every teacher will love this, so will everyone.

This comic and nostalgic look at teaching is not to be missed. The author gives such a delightful spin on our school days. A look at how one Irish teacher struggled through the American school system.

McCourt Discusses Teaching in NY

A pleasant diversion but not a talk about his books or his life. You may enjoy but it's not a shattering performance.
