Enchanting!!

I began reading this book and found myself 17 chapters in, drawn by culture, loyalty, innocence...
I paused my listening to engage in a bit of life happening for those around me for a couple of weeks. We experienced change, death , and new life. While it was heartbreaking and beautiful, drained, I returned to encounter all the same with the beautiful people in these pages. The author and also my friend brought even more healing to a difficult season , so coloring life, love, and our inevitable journey we all share. This book and the people in it are a gift to share. Thank you for sharing with us❤️

What makes a strong woman?

This book was just an amazing story of the strength and courage of these women during a very difficult time in life and that strength came through their relationship with God. It was just a wonderfully written and narrated book. I so enjoyed it.

Beautifully written

Thoughtful descriptions of a beautiful family. The character and scene descriptions were vivid. I loved learning about a piece of history through the live’s of this family. This is a completely different view of a culture and history that most people would have never been able to hear about. Truly fascinating that this story came from a primary source. The faith and strong bonds between the characters truly did give me hope.
