Publisher's summary

A.D. 1291: Keir St. Hever is a powerful garrison commander for Lord Coverdale on the border of the Cumbrian vales. Whilst attending battle, he receives word that his own castle is under attack. Keir returns to Pendragon Castle to discover that his wife and daughter have been murdered, and his young son is missing. So begins Keir's descent into hell and despair. Three years later, Keir is still searching for his son as he is called upon to rescue the family of an ally whose castle is under siege. Once Keir fights his way inside, the damsel he is supposed to rescue does not believe he is there to assist her and a great battle ensues. But somewhere during that battle, Keir finds a strange and uncontrollable fascination with the Lady Chloe-Louise de Geld. When she's not trying to gouge his eyes out, he catches glimpses of a woman of magnificent red hair, porcelain skin, and delicate features. And so, the love story begins....

Chloe is a much sought after beauty, brilliant, sweet and feisty. She awakens within Keir long-dormant emotions, feelings he believed died when his family perished. He doesn't want to love Chloe but he cannot help himself. His attention should be on finding his missing son but he finds it diverted by a woman he is falling more deeply in love with by the day. A vindictive and evil neighbor, however, who has wanted Chloe for his own, discovers St. Hever's interest and uses lies and manipulation to convince Keir that he has Keir's long-lost son. He proposes a trade - Chloe for the boy. Before Keir can make a decision, Chloe takes matters in to her own hands and the situation goes horribly awry.

Through death, battle, vengeful enemies and ghostly visitors, Keir and Chloe's love remains strong and unbreakable. In the end, Keir must once again wield his sword to save the woman he loves. With flashbacks of the family he was unable to save, will he be too late?

Heart Touching

Where does Fragments of Grace rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This story is one of my favorites. The beginning of this book pulls at your heart strings right away.

What did you like best about this story?

Kerr was my favorite character. His loss, feelings of despair and then growing feelings for Chloe was an interesting story.

Have you listened to any of Tim Campbell’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to a few of Tim Campbell's audio's and so far, I like this one best.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The beginning was heartbreaking, feeling his despair. There were some funny parts I liked between his brother and the other Knights.

Very good I enjoyed it.

Well the narrator was superb. The story was pretty good. I wanted to smack the lead female on many occasions. She was just stupid with some of her I’ll save him notions. Lol. But a good book brings out your emotions. Remember this is set in the 1600s. I didn’t bother with thinking about historical accuracy. I just wanted to hear a good story.

Two years is a long time to lust after a woman.

A knight, Sir Keir, comes back to a devastating image, of his wife and daughter killed, during a siege in his absence. His small son could not be found. The knight is restrained by his men and brother, for fear of what he would do in his grief.
Three years later, another seize, but this time, three women are rescued by Sir Keir. He swears protection for one of the woman, which starts a saga of epic portions, across England and Wales, with a man of extreme lust and arrogance, who pursues the woman in Sir Keir's care, stopping at nothing to gain her.

Another Good One

I love the story and it is another rollercoaster ride. However, the heroine, Chloe got on my nerves. She made some dumb decisions. Also, if you pay close attention early on you will be able to solve the mystery in the story.

Always enjoy listening to Tim Campbell

Of all Kathryn LeVeque books this is the first one that had such an annoying heroine. I like to hear about the strong willed, intelligent and loving women in her books. Chloe, was self-absorbed,stubborn, spoiled, and a know it all. She thought that she knew better then anyone, therefore she must be right. The book would’ve been more interesting if the little boy had been returned to his family. I must agree it was still worth my credit. Hopefully the coming trilogy is as fascinating as the de Wolfe pack.

Wonderful, Heartrending Story

A very emotional story! One that only a parent can understand and feel the depth of emotion and and sorrow this couple goes through. While it is sad, there is happiness and contentment when all mystery is revealed! Definitly worth the read and one of Kathryn Le Veque's most full of depth and understanding!
