I enjoy apocalyptic books but with a bit of romance. This book is just the beginning book of the trilogy but kept me on edge. The characters are all wonderful. The build up of the story and relationships are well-accomplished in this first book. And I didn't even realize that this was read by AI and that is impressive because I won't listen to a book if I don't like the narrator's voice.
