Publisher's summary

An isolated mountain town. A stalker in the dark. Can the new family escape death?

In the wake of his parents' crumbling marriage finally collapsing, reclusive teen Eden moves cross-country to a secluded town surrounded by decaying forest. But what should be a fresh start quickly turns into an unending nightmare filled with mystery, murder, kidnapping, stalkers, skeptics, and secrets.

Eden first learns that living in a town with fewer than 300 residents isn't easy. With nobody talking, he's left to his own devices when it comes to discovering what really happens in Fracture after dark. Nobody wants to listen to the new kid, least of all the adults; listening could lead to more trouble.

With his life in ever-increasing danger, Eden may need to come up with a way to escape before it's too late. The thing about Fracture, though, is that it's a notoriously difficult place to escape from, especially when you know too much. Maybe, he'll uncover the truth and escape. But then, again, maybe not.

An amazing novel! I listened to the whole thing in one night. It definitely kept me guessing. I don't want to say to much and give away the ending. So I'll just say that this book was very well done and I highly recommend! The narration was also fabulous. Tyler sounded perfect for this role. He sounded like a disinterested 8th grade boy. It was perfect.

This book was given to me at my request (Thank you!). I am providing a voluntary and honest review.

Suspenseful Thriller

You have an unhappy 13 year old boy who was uprooted and moved into his grandfathers home in Fracture to get away from his alcoholic, abusive father Melvin who went to prison after they left. You have a suspenseful storyline with believable characters that will keep you guessing as you are sitting on the edge of your seat. His dad escaped from prison and Eden realizes he has been killing people. You have missing classmates, a missing principle and you are starting to wonder what is going on in this city. Now Eden and his friend along with his mother are going to see his father. When they get there they see the missing people. There was an explosion 12 people die. As you can see there are many different people and things happening. This is a book that keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat. I look forward to finding bookd this author has written. I recommend this book.
