Publisher's summary

Fifth Book in the New York Times Best-selling Series.

"We'd won. We'd cut through the lies and treachery and promised an alliance that would free us both. But even as we won, we lost. We didn't see what was coming. We didn't know we had to plan a resurrection."

Nila Weaver fell in love. She gifted her entire soul to a man she believed was worthy. And in the process, she destroyed herself. Three debts paid, the fourth only days away. The Debt Inheritance has almost claimed another victim.

Jethro Hawk fell in love. He let down his walls to a woman he believed was his cure. For a moment, he was free. But then he paid the ultimate price.

There is no more love. Only war. Hope is dead. Now, there is only death all around them.

Only suitable for dark romance lovers.

Full length book. Six in series. Fourth Debt is 85,000 words.

OMG Nila and Jethro have stolen my heart

Book 5 in Pepper Winter's Indebted series, just keeps getting better. It picks up where book 4 left off, so it must be read in order. It continues to be filled with the ultimate plot twist, keeping me burning through the pages to find out what would happen next to Jethro Hawk and Nila Weaver.

If I am being honest, I have never been a fan of dark romance until this series. I seriously cannot get enough of the twisted and alluring world Pepper Winters has created. I have absolutely fallen for her characters and I must know what happens next. I can't leave much detail about the plot because it will give too much away. All I can say is that I am moving on to the next book as soon as I finish this review!

PS - Will Watt and Kylie C. Stewart are amazing narrators. I cannot recommend them enough. They are extremely talented and completely enhance Pepper Winter's talents an an author!

I can’t even imagine enduring what Nila went thru!! And the another wow twist so awesome to come to the end for that cliffy! So bad and so good!

Narration continues to be perfection!!

Disgusting, triggering, traumatic

Save your money or credit and do not purchase this book or any other one in the series. It's about rape, slavery, torture, torment, hopelessness, violence over centuries old stupidity, nonsense, and bunch of psychopaths that don't deserve to be alive. Nothing about this series is about hot sex, naughty affairs, or even BDSM. I vomited. Don't be surprised if this book or any other one in the series triggers you; you may end up with PTSD! Could it have been more violent? Sure! But this was more than enough for me and I have survived a war. Perhaps I am too invested or more sensitive than Ms. Winters' average reader; it was simply too much and entirely not in a good way.

Love the plot

I really enjoy the story, it’s just that the author describes how the individuals are feeling, and what’s going on in their heads more than what’s actually happening, and that gets a little boring for me. Everything else is wonderful though.

Love the series; not such a fan of this one

I’m very much enjoying the Indebted series as a whole, but did not love this title. I feel like the critical plot points could have been added to the book before or after. This one was full of pain and despair without much to break it up. Looking forward to the next book.

DAAAARRRRRRRKKKKKK

I had no idea the rabbit hole I was entering... But i cannot leave this story alone! It is so dark and twisted. The torment, suffering and evil have no bounds. But there is a shimmer of hope along w plots of revenge, passion, heartache, love, violence... my heart has died and resurrected itself so many times and this series still isn't finished w me...
These narrators have ruined me!

Can't stop listening!

Each book brings us closer to the end. That is all I can think as I am listening to this heart wrenching, cringe worthy, romantic, epic love story. Book 5 picks up right where we left off, and we get to see how Cut and Daniel were going to handle Nila. And their torture was unbearable. It's the kind that is like a train wreck and you just can't stop listening! I need to know what is going to happen. There are a bunch of surprising twists and turns. Jasmine is quite the woman, much braver and smarter than she is given credit. The Weaver family is present and we get to hear there may be light at the end of this dark, torturous tunnel. But just as we get a glimmer of hope, Pepper Winters promises some additional torment. And I can't wait to hear it! Dark, heart breaking and erotic, this series has it all.

The narration is continued by Will Watt and Kylie Stewart and they are breathtaking. I feel every single emotion, and while at times exhausting, the series is exhilarating. They are perfect as Nila and Jethro.

too drawn out

This whole story has become way too tedious and repetitive. I see why readership has dropped off after each novel in this series. I won't be spending anymore of my money on this storyline.

I wish I could strangle .....

I've never wanted to kill a character in a book more than I wanted to kill Bonnie, Cut and Danial! What gave me hope that pure hate could save pure love was the last chapter. A Hawk reaching out a claw to a Weaver to save what they both hold dear.
