It was once said that a great savior would arrive out of the north. A prodigal son whose return would free the people of Hidalgo del Parral from the suffering they endure under the rule of Santiago, La Serpiente. Out of this belief was born The Resistance, a secret organization of citizens prepared to follow their savior in rebellion against Santiago and his tyranny.
With the savior now come and gone, The Resistance falters as people learn to accept their fate. To bow down before Santiago and to live a life of constant sorrow. To be forever suppressed and abused. Then, in the most unexpected of times, a new hope suddenly emerges.
Four horsemen, all men with dark pasts, answer the call to stand up for everything that is right. The enemy is powerful, with tentacles reaching deep into the shadows of Old Mexico. They will get only one chance at slaying the serpent. To fail means to die and somehow, in some way, American outlaw Dirty Dave Rudabaugh has influence over it all.
