Being GOD’s hands and feet

Great read with a purpose for each and everyone one of us fostering parents. Our families are chosen even before we knew who we would welcome. GOD is the ALPHA and the OMEGA in each situation, in each life, in OUR LIVES. This book opened up my viewpoints to many different perspectives.

Wonderful book

This book came at a much-needed time and I listen to it through Audible over 2 to 3 days. It touched my heart in so many ways and helped me see the bigger picture and realize that God has everything in control even though I may not see right now. Definitely recommend this book!

Foster Parent Must Read

If you are a Foster Parent or are close to a Friend/family member who is- this is a must read. I love the way scripture is weaved in thru the dialogue, the raw picture of the chaos but also the narrative of heartache and messiness of foster care but also the beauty of it all. The gains, the losses, the validation of feelings- everything in this book is just a big hug to a foster parent.

Truly Perfect and Perfectly True

I signed up for a free trial of Audible just for this book and I was not disappointed. As a foster mom, I heard and felt every emotion as Jamie read. The pain, the joy, the courage, the fear - everything a foster parent goes through practically everyday.

This book was an impeccable reminder of why I do what I do, and gave me the confidence boost to keep at it - that God has called all of us to fight for the ones overlooked.

If you’re a foster parent, read this book as a reminder that you’re not alone. That it’s hard but you’re doing it and you’re supported by community and by God.

If you’re not a foster parent, read this book to help you glimpse at the real issues surrounding all that comes with caring for kids who aren’t yours but who you love like they are and fight for like they are. It’s a wild ride and we need you!

Every Christian needs to read this

Jamie offers hope and encouragement to foster parents but this book has value far beyond that. Foster care is something you don’t understand until you are part of it and it is something the the whole Church ought to be involved in. This book can give you a picture of it to help you understand more and hopefully move you to action. As a foster parent God used this book to remind me of truth, point me to Jesus and help me keep going. I am confident it will be listed to many times!

Jamie’s real, raw stories will grip your heart!

Jaimie loves Jesus and that is obvious in her book. Her and her husband do foster care out of an overflow of love for Christ. If that is not your reason for foster care, you might not resonate as much with this book as I did, but you still can probably gain much wisdom and the gospel! I have given this spoke to many friends and will continue to do so!! Hope for the journey as we love the vulnerable and cling to Jesus!
