This is a book of historical fiction about a young man who lives in the real coastal town of Aransas Pass, Texas, 20 minutes north of Corpus Christi. Although the details about Hurricane Harvey and many of the physical locations are real, the story centers around the fictional life of Paul, who is totally reliant upon his cell phone, the internet, and his jeep. He enjoys spending as much time as possible on the beach in Port Aransas, just 15 minutes away, as well as his much-loved online gaming world. Life as he knows it is about to be turned upside down. Follow along with Paul as he rides out the storm with Matt (a new friend) and Eli (a homeless man). Along the way, Matt’s wife, Jen, joins them, as well as Sarah, who quickly becomes a good friend to Paul. For two weeks he and his new friends deal with the new challenges; lacking in both electricity and running water during the hottest part of the summer along the Texas Coastline.
