Team Omega just went through hell to find their prey, the madman Simon Haddo, only to have him escape at the last moment. These mercs didn't just do battle with a Mecha-Satan for nothing, so are determined to bring Haddo down and get paid for their efforts. They follow him, with the help of their enigmatic android guide, to the planet Mercury and a fortress factory known only as Purgatory, where they must face yet another gruesomely engineered nightmare dungeon in this violent sci-fi remix of Dante's Purgatorio.
Strap on your power armor and get ready to fight like hell.

I was massively intrigued by the premise of the first book of the series but then was equally disappointed by the actual book. The second book's synopsis sounded like it will have some redeeming qualities and thankfully it does. The story arc is much better in this one and it holds your attention. The action sequences are better and well planned.
What I didn't like about this book is that it switched from sci-fi to supernatural, which is rather disappointing.
And the narration is somewhat weak in this one. The voice lacked infliction and the emotions weren't conveyed properly.
This too, better than the first one.

What made the experience of listening to Fortress Purgatory the most enjoyable?
Honestly reading the first book was a great idea and I would recommend you start with the first book. This book was good until the final scene and it started to go supernatural which is not my idea of Sci-Fi.What does Persephone Rose bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
His storytelling is by far makes the book come alive, his excitement in scenes can be felt and he gets your heart racingWas there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I found the sex scene to be one that I wasn't pleased with, it isn't needed in this book and I was glad I did not have my daughter in the car during that scene.Any additional comments?
Towards the end, the book starts to explain a supernatural part of the series and I probably won't read the third book because I don't find that to be Sci-Fi. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.Performance was great, Story is starting to slip!
