Excellent book. Quite a few returning characters. I have only two books by Michael McBride, but if the first in this series are any indication of the quality to come, then but them now!
Also, buy the Audible version of this if you can. I highly recommend it.

Michael McBride and Neil Hellegers are an unsurpassed tour de force when it comes to delivering an action-packed and intelligently crafted story. This title is the second in a series that I am eagerly awaiting the Audible release of part 3 for.
Michael McBride weaves a smart, gripping and terrifying storyline that Neil Hellegers masterfully brings to life with his excellent narration.

It's the end of the world and I don't care
This is book two in this series with threats to the human race, alien creatures, evil terrorists. The stakes are pretty high... and yet... I find myself not caring. I felt like this after book one and chalked it up to lots of setup for the next volume. Unfortunately, I was no more enthusiastic after listening to the second volume. I am disappointed. I really wanted to enjoy this story, but it is just not pulling me in. I think I am done with the series, which is something I typically don't do.
The most annoying part is that I can't really tell you why I don't care for it.
I hope those of you who do give this series a try really enjoy it. But I'm afraid I won't be joining you. Good luck.

An exciting follow-up novel to Subhuman. In Forsaken, the reader finds out more about the terrifying WW2 plot involving a secret group intent on resurrecting an ancient entity. be careful what you wish for.
