I LOVED it!
What an excellent book! It’s great for middle school readers. It was a page turner from beginning to end. I can’t wait to read more from this author!

I’m not gonna say it wasn’t good but ...
I’m not gonna say it was.
I got this because my daughter asked for it.
I can’t say that I know the feeling, I’m not black, but I’m not white either and these battles were fought by my forefathers in order for me to live in peace.
I guess what bothers me is the fictional story to address a real problem, however children can’t be told such vivid situations without a story of sorts for there minds to understand?
I don’t know.
I do feel sorry for Iris, her little sister was horrible. Puts my daughters feelings in perspective.
I’d recommend it. The setup takes a bit but by the middle it starts picking up. I suppose it’s done it job by stirring the feelings, I imagine it was the goal of the author.
I’d say good job.

Great Middle School Book
I liked this book because it told the history of how people lived. It taught you to value friendship. I would recommend this book to Middle School children.
