Lottie and her mother, Louella, share a house in Victoria Court with Mr Magic and his son, Baz. Lottie is a child star, dancing and singing at the Gaiety Theatre to an enraptured audience; Louella acts as Max Magic's assistant. But a road accident causes Lottie to lose her memory. Louella tries to help, but the white mist remains. Then Lottie meets a boy with golden-brown eyes who calls her "Sassy" and accuses her of running away. Cozy Read

The tale meandered a bit, but essentially this is a nice cozy read by the fire. Well worth the time investment.
