GLAD I FOUND THIS SET OF BOOKS!
I really enjoyed the Emperor’s Edge series by Lindsay Buroker but was unable to find this grouping of books on audible. I was thrilled to find out, albeit later, that it was available as a three book series. I love this series and have listened (audiobook) to it a few times. Highly recommend!

This book set is awesome!
So i am a fan of Lindsey Buroker. I had previously listened to Emperor's Edge Collection And this set definitely filled in some gaps and of course great story super fun and exciting! Tavia Gilbert does a fantastic narration performance. I will definitely re-listen to this book set

Enjoyable
This was a fun read. I really didn't know what to expect when I got this book. Sometimes it was just a little cookie cutter, but at other times it was quite novel, and had twists and turns i didn't expect. The narration was great. I've not read Lindsay Buroker, nor listened to Tavia Gilbert before, but will definately look out for them again.

Read or listen to The Emperor's Edge series first
This is a prequel to the emperor's edge series but I'm really glad that I read and listened to that series before this one. I think it will make a lot more sense because there is more background information in the other series. And knowing the whole history of one of the main characters in the other series made me literally say YES out loud when he popped up in this series. It was great to get the background story on two important characters some 20 years earlier than the emperor's edge series. Lindsay Buroker writes wonderful, rich characters into her stories.
