No one asked me if this was what I wanted.
To be a harbinger of change. To motivate those around me to join a rebellion. To become a symbol of hope and rebirth in a war that's not my own.
Yet, the duty has been thrust upon me, and it's not one I can refuse. Challenged from all sides, I'm forced to make increasingly harder choices as I learn to trust my gut and the powers that burn within me.
As my past and my future collide, Damien, Ryder, Theo, Killian, Hiro, and I are all pushed to step up and take on responsibilities that none of us have prepared for. When life and death hang in the balance, decisions must be made that will change the lives of everyone around us. Can we find the strength to choose the right path as our family is Forged in Flames? Or will we falter when it matters the most?
Contains mature themes.

Also, again, I just wanna point out that I really wished someone had proof listened to the series before publishing it because the female narrator yet again took a word and changed it. As I listened to the audiobook, I paused between chapters to go back and highlight things that I want to and she at one point referred to Gaspard who is Damien’s grandfather she referred to him as his father instead.
So I’m just generally confused as to why that was allowed to slip through. I’m also really concerned at the fact that she was able to narrate other books after this. Especially one by an author I really do enjoy. My only hope is that she got better after the series.
But seriously, the accents keep changing and people keep getting actions for them not having accents it’s I don’t know what’s going on.
Not to mention just that either, the female narrator keeps messing up names. I understand if it happened once, but this is not the fourth book in the series and the fourth time she done it. She doesn’t at least once a book. Like for example, Nix is on an outing with Joshua and she calls him Jonathan. Not Nix. The narrator called him Johnson. And I like to highlight as I read or in this case listen to the book. And so I went back after pausing the chapter. I was listening to to see if it was a mistake and maybe that it was a typo. Nope. The narrator literally changed Joshua’s name to Jonathan.
It’s to the point where I’m completely irritated with this and I was hoping as a series went on this would get better the narration would get better. But in honesty, I think it’s getting worse. I honestly have no idea how she was employed after the series with the terrible accents and the name changing the mispronunciations so on and so forth.
Now I read the series 2 years ago, three years ago now. And I absolutely love it, which is why I decided I wanted to reread it now, but it’s to the point where I’m so thoroughly irritated with the way the narration one that I just can’t continue at the moment.
I honestly don’t know how anybody else got through this narration and thought it was great because it wasn’t it really wasn’t
Again this review is only highly rated because I enjoy the actual book and has no bearing on the narration of it
What did I just listen to
