Too much sizzle not enough substance

The narrator was fine- just didn’t particularly like the way it was read or sounded- a little too sweetsie! Also far too much sizzle and sexual innuendo for the content and even genre of the book. I haven’t read Jody Hedlund for awhile, but it seemed she stepped away from a simple story to a supposed mystery with great danger to the heroine, but the plot was excessively simple. It seemed unbalanced. However, i did, for the most part, enjoy the book!

A Decent Read

It was a decent story. the Female character was a little slow and the explanations or mind thoughts were long winded. I I let it finished but wasn't too much into it. I don't like when the females are made to seem slow. Like really slow. I was literally yelling at my phone "Why are you so slow?!" By that I mean slow minded.

Unexpected plot twist

This is my favorite book in the Beacon of Hope series. The main characters had me immediately hooked on this story and their development during the story will have you hoping for a happy ending. I also liked the sub theme of how different people handle life changing events and the power we can give to fear.

Not the same old story

This story has many proponents that are very real, and not just add ons to further the story.

I could see these characters in my mind very clearly. This is not just boy meets girl. This is full with rich characters that bring your mind to things in your own life. I felt such peace for my own situation as I read the courage of all of these in the story. (The good ones of course)

The narrator is the best I have ever heard! I listen to about four to five books a month. Most of the time I'm hoping they are simply tolerable. I'm so grateful for Christian writers. It means no surprise foul language or situations. Love is not predicated on sex. I don't need or want descriptions of it. This author is truly a work of art!

This book was amazing and captivating right from the start you hold in your breath till it's through! Thanks Jody you are a great writer and an inspiration to many!
