Publisher's Summary

A tiny scrap of fabric sent her hurtling through time....

Elizabeth Smith was good at taking charge. Fixing what she believed was wrong with the world. And then she met a lazy knight with no desire to better himself.

A wager lost....

Before the rakes of the regency period, there was Robert Thornton, Lord Highworth. Content to spend his days drinking, wenching, and hunting, Robert cared not what happened in the world around him. Let his brothers see to war and fighting. Perhaps if he drank enough he could forget the faces of the dead.

Sparks ensue....

When Robert offers the strange lass up as the wager, Elizabeth vows to hate him forever. Wanting nothing to do with the lass with beguiling eyes, Robert doesn't know whether to kill her or kiss her....

I tried

I really wanted to like this series but each book gets worst. The stories are choppy. The male treats the heroine like crap over and over and she just shrugs and forgives him even when he deliberately looses her in a bet to a man who rapes women repeatedly. The narrator managed to make the males sound like whining fools.

Forever Knight, Book 2 Thornton Brothers trilogy

Fabulous story of time travel filled with mystery and romance. Kristina Blackstone had a commendable performance as narrator. She is definitely a 5 Star narrator! Cynthia Luhrs never disappoints with her 5 Star stories. Give it a listen 💗

Decent story, poor narration.

The story wasn't as good as the previous, but still worth the read. Key word READ. Once again, the narrator severely detracted from the story due to giving all the British valley type nasally accents, with inflections in inappropriate areas. Colin accent, the ONLY Scottish person in the story, ranged from Irish to Scottish to Indian. All in the same sentence. I'm glad this is the last of her narrated stories I have in my Audible. Made the stories downright painful to listen to.

Narrator sucks!

The story would have been better if the narrator didn't have a lousy fake accent. It would have been better to have just read it straight.

Worst Scottish accent ever.

Boring story. The narrator cannot do a Scottish accent at all, and all of her English characters sound half asleep. I really struggled with this book.

Narrator is awful

Not sure if I would’ve enjoyed this series more if there was a different reader. Each book is pretty much the same as the next. I kept hoping the writer would get better with the next book in the series but it never happened. Bummer.
