Great adventure

A group of friends set out for an adventure that then turns real and they find themselves entangled in a battle between good and evil. I liked the interesting and unusual set-up of the story and it is moving forward at a nice pace with a decent amount of character development as well. It is then a classic adventure with your typical set of fantasy personalities, wizards, fairies, trolls etc that is well described and holds the interest throughout. I like that there is both a romantic story line as well as an overall quest. Overall this is well worth spending an afternoon listening to if you just want to relax and be taken away to a different realm

good start to the series

This book was filled with adventure and a little bit of romance. The premise for the story is really unique and I enjoyed the characters learning and growing as they adventure together. This book ends in a cliffhanger. This narrator is not my favorite and I've listened to several of her books and felt the same way about the others. Honestly, if I knew it was going to be this narrator. I would have skipped this series. I've listened to audiobooks with AI narrators and although, I don't want to support AI, those narrations were better than this one.
