Publisher's Summary

Jessica Spaulding works for Magnate, her father's multi-billion-dollar investment firm. But her life of privilege comes at a high personal cost, requiring her to keep aspects of herself under wraps.

Magnate's new intern, TJ Blake, leads by example. The sole guardian of her teenage sister, TJ juggles work, graduate school, and debt, never taking "something for nothing."

As TJ discovers there's more to Jess than she lets on, her pride and notions about wealth run headlong against her growing feelings for Jess. Jess starts falling for TJ but doubts she's principled enough for her. When Jess uncovers a dark secret, will she do the right thing, even if it means losing everything - including any chance at love?

A great listen

If you could sum up For Money or Love in three words, what would they be?

Issues worked out.

Which scene was your favorite?

The love scene. The set up and the follow through made it that much more meaningful.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Did a lot of yelling at the characters to puleeaze work through their issues. But that was a good thing. We all have our issues. And they do indeed have the courage to work through their own issues, owning them and leaving what doesn't work behind.

Any additional comments?

Interesting story, good character development, well performed; overall very well done. I found myself cheering for the main characters as they grew into their own skins.

Excellent audio!

I really enjoyed For Money or Love. It's a great story set in the world of an investment firm and people with money. You will not like Jessica in the beginning of the book. But she will redeem herself in the end. Even narration by Melissa Sternenberg

Characters I did not like

I would have fired her and told my father why. Her manners need something to be desired. The
sister got what she deserved. I stopped listening.

I liked it and didn't at the same time

Through most of this book I was very frustrated with the actions of the main characters. Several times I was thinking "this story is so stupid"... and yet.... I kept listening. The story is uneven and irritating but it had enough cute or funny moments to carry me to the end. I had a hard time feeling the build up of chemistry between the main characters. Melissa Sternenberg is a decent narrator walking the line between just reading vs performing. Very good though at giving each character a distinct voice without making any of them sound "weird" if you know what I mean. This book is like a dish that while good is lacking that elusive spice that would make it memorable.

Truly a great story

Undoubtably one of the best stories I've read this year. It starts off slow but towards the end and at the end it is an amazing journey. A great read and worth of your time.

Disappointing

The narrator is amateur. I couldn't get through the first two chapters. Waste of a good credit.

Nice!

While the story is not original, this version is well played. The characters are believeable and likeable. While one characters coming to terms with loving another woman seems to be a bit too easy, it does little to distract from the plot. The narration is good.
