Florida Dreams Live On Through Covid-19 picks up where my previous book, Florida Dreams: All About the Amazing Rise of the Sunshine Mega-State, left off. The elephant that tromped into the room is, of course, Covid-19.

In this short book, I lay out the facts for the reader and present my views on the Florida approach to dealing with Covid which was developed under the leadership of Governor Ron DeSantis. Its key features are that it allows people make their own healthcare decisions without masks and mandates and has kept businesses and schools open while they were shuttered in many other blue states like New York and California.

More specifically, I review: how the Florida approach has worked in practice; how it has drawn people to Florida as migrants and visitors; what businesses have been encouraged to move to Florida during the period it has been in effect; how the Florida economy has fared as a result; and how the Florida approach has become a model for other freedom-loving states.

Even though Governor DeSantis has taken a lot of flack from his political opponents and the media for not locking down Florida, he's led the way in keeping Florida Dreams alive in a time of Covid.
