Publisher's Summary

There must be someone else out there. In the cold, in the dark, in the vastness of space there can't be just one lonely species peering out into the void; but if there's others, where are they? Now an alien probe has been found and it's point of origin calculated, so a state of the art ship has been sent to take the first step, to make first contact.

A Sci-Fi Tale

Marc Everitt has written a creative, entertaining and short sci-fi story with an unusual twist at the end. I enjoyed the account very much. Kevin Theis has done an amazing job as the narrator. I requested this audiobook from Audiobooks Unleashed and have voluntarily left this review.

A small but bitter pill

This short read/listen has our intrepid captain journeying to a planet to meet the inhabitants of an alien world. This visit is prompted by a message from that faraway planet on a "message ship" thousands of year old. And, only the new technology of our captain's ship now allows for this exploration. What he finds there is the crux of the story, a mean twist. Sorry, no spoilers here... I rec'd a free copy of this Audio Book from Audiobooks Unleashed and I'm voluntarily leaving this review.

Too short for its own good

This isn't my preferred genre. It was a little too short to really make much sense. Felt uncompleted.

"So, when do I leave?"

Very short (33 minutes) and reminiscent of a couple of previously published stories. A test pilot and crew is sent on a mission in their newly developed space ship. The writing is a little clunky but overall, it works. Narration by Kevin Theis.

A short story with a message

The introductions and set up were poor with a low level of nuance but the ending had a powerful message. The performance was too fast overall but competent.
