Reverse age

Reese has wanted his dads best friend Cornell for years. After an accident that claims his dad's life he has a chance to take Cornell in. Thus begins their story. It is sweet and hot and a little surprising. I love the reverse age gap - and that Cornell is not ashamed to be an older sub. My heart breaks for him at some points, and Reese is perfect for him.

Kenneth narration was perfect. Great tempo, and differentiation with voices.

Highly recommend this audio

Love, loss and love again

I love this wonderful story about two people coming together and finding happiness in a very unconventional way. In the midst of loss these beautiful characters find what they need in each other. We should all be so lucky to find love like that.
Narrator Kenneth Obi does a fabulous job as always. I loved listening to him tell me this story.

Heartbreaking/Heartwarming

What an amazing story.
I've never read anything quite like it.
It captured my heart on the 1st chapter, broke it on the 2nd one, and throughout the story it was slowly mended back together.
I found myself crying, gasping, smiling, grinning, laughing, and completely enthralled.
Beautifully narrated and highly recommended!

Ok

I've read this book before listening. I liked the story of a older sub/boy and younger daddy/dom. But something is missing in audio version. Cornell does not sound like the older man. If a guy is a sub, it does not mean he sounds like a twink. That really annoys me. But yeah, it is an ok audiobook, but I liked the ebook version more.

EXCEPTIONAL BOOK!!!

I loved this book so much when I read it, that I simply NEEDED to listen to the audiobook...
i got really disappointed that the voice used for the younger Dom sounded totally wrong... he's younger, i was expecting a young man's voice, being all Dom over an Older sub voice... it took me ages to get over the fact that the young guy sounded like a REALLY OLD guy and the older sub sounded like a teen... that really bothered me...
When I managed to somewhat get over that, I really enjoyed the audiobook.

Nora Phoenix did a wonderful job with this story...

Was a M/M, D/s storyline....

I loved this title. Often individuals just do the "NEXT" and move on to something different. I encourage individuals that maybe dont have a clear view of what it is like from the opposite viewpoint should experience this title...and stick it through the end. I promise, your view will be skewed. It may not completely change due to certain beliefs, but someday the stigmas attached to the numerous labels placed on people these days, intentional or not...will be broken!

This is not my usual as some others had posted on their reviews. I can add to that! But wholly plugs Batman! This was not only educational...(not a sheltered or prudish woman by ANY sense of the imagination!) but I simply had no knowledge of how some of that went on. Not to say this title was any true reference guide!

Moving on! I absolutely loved this storyline. I thought I read that it made them "chuckle occasionally". I didnt get that. This was clearly a wait and see what happens. I really could not predict the outcome, but loved Cornell & Ryce together. Despite age, their sexuality, their preferences in how they expressed themselves and feelings of love and intimacy as well. As I mentioned, I am not an expert, but the author seemed to write this with fluidity, seriousness, but made it very sexy almost the whole 10 hours of this title. I would inclined to believe that she did her research prior to this. This is my first experience with this author, so if those of you know her work would know better.

I will be looking author up as well as perhaps any other work she has done.
Worth credit or purchase, imo.😉

- 3 stars -

Before I begin my review, I will say that my review will contain a few spoilers for the story. I had originally planned on writing my review after I had finished listening to this audio book, but I have found that I can't bring myself to finish it. I reached to 67% of the story when I just couldn't continue with the story any longer. I just don't think this story was meant for me and I honestly feel bad and disappointed that I can't leave as good of a review as I wanted to for this book.

-Story-
My main issue was with the story. I had been looking forwards to reading/listening to this story as I liked the concept of the dynamics between the main characters and I had read excerpts of the story before it had been released. So I was very interested and excited to finally be able to listen to this book on audio.
The beginning was rather sad and interesting, but as the story went on I became frustrated, a bit bored, and wanting something interesting to happen, but nothing actually did. By the time it came to when the main characters were forced to separate for several hours and the one character deciding to recklessly quit his job just because he wants to spend more time with the other main character, it was just a bit too much for me to believe or handle. I know he has plans to start his own business, but that would take time and customers, and it wouldn't be easy for someone who is just about to graduate from school and who could have benefited with making a name for himself by continuing with his job and gaining more experience. I can understand being unhappy with working at that job, but I still find it a reckless decision, especially since his relationship with the other main character is pretty new. I did read other reviews and listed to part of the last chapter and discovered I wouldn't have liked what happened next in the book if I had continued, as it was a bit unbelievable.

-Narration -
I thought the narrator did a wonderful job with narrating this story. I especially enjoyed how he did the emotional moments. I will say I was kind of expecting the older main character to have a deeper voice, but after getting used to it, I felt that it suited him quite well.

Overall, I am honestly disappointed I didn't like this book and I hope my review won't dissuade other people from giving this story a try as you may enjoy it. This story just wasn't meant for me.

all the feels

This book is absolutely amazing. It had me on page one sucked me like I don't even know what and did not let me go until 2 days after I finished the book. Kenneth does such an amazing job with the voices of the guys in the books. The more he does the better and better he gets. he will make your insides all warm and gushy in this one.

Wow, what a story!

I loved Rhys and Cornell. Great dynamics, great characters, great writing!

I really enjoyed this 'different' take on the dom/sub dynamics and then the daddy/boy relationship. I love minority stories and sadly this one falls into the minority of young dom/daddy, older sub/boy. The opening of the story was absolutely heartbreaking and I'll admit to tears. Cornell is recovering from a serious accident that claims his best-friends life. The care, emotions, and feelings evoked for Cornell throughout his healing process were so authentic I felt like I'd lost a friend too.

Nora's writing is passionate, emotional and raw. I felt every shift, every tear, every stab of grief as both Rhys and Cornell adapted to their new normal and then their new relationship. Rhys is a very powerful character and I loved that he had pined for Cornell for years before acting on his feelings. Even though Cornell is obviously old enough to be Rhys's Dad those dynamics were never present and I never felt uncomfortable with their connection or relationship. Rhys was the perfect mix of care and 'authority'. He is exactly was Cornell needs and while it was a tragedy that led them down this path, it was a wonderful journey to read.

I loved Rhys and Cornell and I feel like they'll be with me for a while. A truly great read!!!

Thanks for reading!

May to December

What an amazing, intimate story. Rhys has wanted Cornell for years, but hadn't acted on it. Cornell has known Rhys since birth; being best friends with Rhys's dad, Jonas. A fatal car accident throws Cornell and Rhys together; Cornell needing physical therapy and Rhys providing both the therapy and a safe place to stay as Cornell recovers. The relationship grows, as Rhys proves his desire for Cornell and Cornell realises his deep need for Rhys to dominate him. Nora Phoenix writes with such insight and passion that I could not help but be drawn into the story. There are teary places, anxious places and happy happy places. Would love to know where these two gorgeous men go next with their journey.

Sweet and sexy

I loved the book by Nora and I tried to imagine what the characters would sound like when I was reading. However, Kenneth did an amazing job bringing this book to life. The story is about the love of a lost one and how it brings them closer together until they both get what they want and need.
