Crude oil,bio weapons, revels and a madman!!!!

This is a really good series. If you like a lot of action then you're in the right place. If I say too much more then the publisher's summary I'm afraid I will spoil this book for someone else.
But, here goes.

Thomas Caine is on the hunt for a rebel leader. His journey takes him from Khartoum to the South Sudan. Years earlier he had been tasked to protect this rebel. Now he must kill him before the man can release a deadly virus causing death to millions.
During his hunt for the rebel Caine hooks up with a doctor who had been hiding tubes of the virus. She had two clinics that were both destroyed. Between snipers, assassins, RPGs and wild animals this book will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Meanwhile Caine's handler in the CIA (Rebecca) is the only one who believes Caine is not guilty of crimes he was set up to take the fall for. Injured in a previous book, she is now in a wheelchair. She continues to have reach and is able to help him out of the rare predicament that otherwise would probably have him disappear.
This book has nonstop action from beginning to end. There are no lulls, no fillers to take up pages. There are unexpected twists and Caine finally finds out who framed him for treason. This ends with a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting to know where this series will go next.
Although these books can be listened to as stand alone books, I would suggest listening to them in order for continuity in developing relationships.
Jonathan Davis does an excellent job narrating. Great foreign accents, don't know if they sound authentic but they sound good!

Action and suspense aplenty!

Fire and Forget is Book 3 in Andrew Warren's Thomas Caine thriller series. It is a 5 star espionage/terrorism mystery/thriller that I recommend without reservation. It is standalone. Jonathan Davis' narration is sterling.

Audible listener Shelley recently wrote an excellent review of Fire and Forget that adds to the brief publisher's summary without adding plot spoilers. I encourage reading her review.

A True Thriller

Where does Fire and Forget rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Is has to be one of the most exciting, if not the most.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Thomas Caine, of course.

What about Jonathan Davis’s performance did you like?

I liked the many different voices he uses.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, and I did.

Any additional comments?

It is a very fast-paced listen - it was over too quickly.

Humanity That is Expendable

FC
I purchased due to excellent narrator Jonathan Davis. His character range including female voices is stellar.
Sad story of human injustice, revenge and redemption. Fast paced continuation of books 1 and 2 characters.
I do use 1.25x speed to match the action.
On a lighter note do not miss Sandra Brown Mean Streak narrated by Jonathan Davis, my favorite of his narrations

An exciting listen! Don't go to work today!

Don't plan on getting anything important done once you start this! What a pleasure to listen to a good narrator! Mr. Davis does accents and genders! He imbues the sentences with horror, pain or pathos, excitement or fear. Very well done.

There's a rat in the highest levels of secrecy here at home taking out the most crucial whistle blowers or weakest links in the leak. Rebecca doesn't know whom she can trust, and then things blow up. Literally. She needs Caine. Again.

Caine just wants to get to Alan Bernato, but necessities keep getting in the way. Now he is off to the Sudan to rescue another CIA guy who has gone dark, and gets caught in a tangle of political corruption, insanity, bio weapons, back-stabbing, and genocide. His problem is that he can't just "kill and forget." He has a conscience, a sense of right, and this prevents him from being able to "just be the weapon."

As he takes on an entire powerful, corrupt, morally bankrupt cabal, events just spiral downward fast, with a pandemic the possible outcome. With non-stop action and excitement, he gets another step closer to the person who set him up and hung him out to dry. Things with Rebecca are still complicated, but it looks as if they still both want the same thing. Looking forward to another installment!

solid

The book has a complicated plot with multiple story lines, all of which have multiple Perils of Pauline inescapable dilemmas. Despite the heroics, though, it's a good read with interesting settings and complex scenarios and characters. The reader is occasionally a bit excitable and loud, but all in all deals well with a panoply of characters and odd words. I'll read more of these . . .

multifaceted story

The book is an intriguing combination of espionage, betrayal, action, and geopolitical intrigue. I enjoyed learning a bit about the culture and people of Sudan. The main character's introspection gives his character more dimension, but it is occasionally overdone.

A Cartoonish Book with Cartoonish Characters

I am starting to lose faith in my fellow Amazon reviewers. I bought and read this book because of all of its wonderful reviews but I was deceived by them. I did not read the first two books in the series, so I really had no idea who the characters were and what they were doing. After finishing the book I still feel the same way. The book has no real understandable story, the writing is very choppy, and reads like a cartoon book with cartoon characters. I found it also to be a boring book and was difficult to stay with it until the end. I listened to the audible version and did not like the reading of the narrator who tends to change his volume and pitch throughout the book, making me constantly reach for the volume control in order to hear what was going on. Overall this was a big waste of my time and money.
