Loved this unique book

Story: I loved how unique this story line was. I was intriguing, suspenseful, sexy, and kept me riveted. The character development was great- I went through a range of emotions. It was great.

Narration: I thought the narration was awesome. The narrator was new to me. I would gladly purchase more of their works. Production was very good- clear reading and the perfect amount of feeling.

I would definitely recommend this book and would love to check out more of the series.

Great Book! Awesome Narrator!

I love the inflection in the narrator's voice. She reads with fluidity and poise. When she experiences emotions, you believe she is actually going through these situations.
I love the plot of this book and the characters! all around a must listen. I was given a free credit to review this book by the narrator. :O)

I would recommend "Fire" to a friend. Calinda B.'s writing style kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. Sprinkle in an arranged marriage to the head of the Diamond Club family and you have a story that keeps you guessing.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fire?

There were a few that come to mind but I don't want to give any spoilers.

What does Lynn Norris bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her voice for different characters is nice to listen to. She also has a beautiful singing voice.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I really enjoyed the relationship between Agent Savanah and Agent Adam.

Overall the book was a fun read. It was entertaining w a side of adventure. I like a little more smut in my books but it was an enjoyable read and worth a credit in my opinion. I was given a copy of this audiobook for free to give my review.

No Way Out (Maybe???)

Fire is a a BDSM romantic suspense story that listeners/readers would love to listen/read again and again. Savannah Summers' mission in Iraq has been compromise and in order to redeem herself to the Security League Alliance Enterprises (SLAE), she agreed to go under by infiltrating into the Diamond Club, as Naeva, fiance to Liam who is an elite member of the Diamond Club.

Savannah was to use Liam to find out when and where is the next diamond heist. The assignment sounded so simple until everything went wrong. Savannah is torn her desire between Liam and Master Steel yet there are times when Liam shows her his affection and shared some of this secrets and dreams with her.

There are so many secrets, intrigue, unexpected twists and turns and that self-control from Savannah and Liam fighting their attraction to each other and from time to time, they would give into their desire. It is a cat and mouse game between Savannah and Liam. Each has so much to lose unless both can found a way out of both their predicament.

The narrator Lynn Norris does a wonderful job in narrating the characters in the story. Listeners can feel Savannah's pain of wanting to belong to something or someone, to be part of a family and Liam's discontentment of being an elite member of the Diamond Club. Listeners will hear Liam's scowl of how his life turned out to be.

Fire is a must read book for fans of legal age, who love intrigue, crime, thrillers, erotic/kinky sex, and romantic suspense.

Fire (The Diamond Club, Book 0)

Fire is part of a 10 book set of standalone novella written by different authors revolving around the world of The Diamond Club. This is the first I've listened to/read of this series. I thought it was fantastic. It pulled me in from the beginning and kept me on pins and needles. There was suspense, danger, secrets, and action all with a little love thrown in. I liked both the characters of Liam and Savannah/Neva. They came from different worlds, and even on different sides of the law, but they were perfect for each other.

I've only listened to one other audiobook narrated by Ms. Norris and it was the first audiobook I had listened to. I enjoyed her narration style then and I enjoyed her narration style now. She did a great job of distinguishing between male and female voices. It was easy to tell when a different character started speaking and her male voices sounded masculine, which I have found seems to be difficult for some female narrators to pull off. It was refreshing to not have to try to guess who was talking and when. I could just let myself get lost in the story.

I would definitely recommend this one. I will also definitely be looking for more books written by Ms. Bardot and more audiobooks narrated by Ms. Norris.

sex, lies & diamonds...

Savannah barely escapes a beheading in the Middle East, where she was working undercover for a private security company. Upon her arrival in the USA, she is immediately whisked away to a mansion, where she is prepped to work undercover as the daughter of a wealthy businessman to thwart a major diamond heist. Yes, the businessman, Marcus, is a member of an elite group/club of diamond thieves, but has agreed to help in order to avoid prison time. Savannah is introduced to the club and learns that 'she' is betrothed to the son of another wealthy family. Savannah's undercover partner, Adam, is working as her 'bodyguard' and trying to keep her safe. The thing is, if Savannah wants to keep her job, she has to go along with the kookiness of the 'diamond club'. There is non-stop drama with this group...some bdsm, dominant-sub play, some catty b!tches and the like. People are shot at, places are blown up, some suspicious past deaths of wealthy family members. Never a dull moment! Thoroughly enjoyed this book! Loved the relationship between Savannah and Adam, who both grew up in the foster care system. Wanted to throat punch Marcus many times...lol. Can't say much more without spoilers so I'll end by saying that I would love more Diamond Club!!!!
