The Point of it all
Dan Russell’s story is one of the best Christian athlete stories I’ve ever come across. I’m so thankful Dan and Craig put this into writing. It’s brilliant. Yes it’s about the sport, the brutal sport of Greco Roman wrestling, but it’s ultimately about life’s complete unpredictability. It’s about God’s Will and how it never matches up to what we think it should be. It’s about the blood of Jesus Christ overtaking everything and taking our sin and pain and turning it something worth redeeming. And it’s about the emptiness of medals that gather dust. Wow. What a strontium. I just rush it was 10 times longer!!!
