Finding My Voice is an engaging autobiographical account of the intriguing journey a Zambian-born young man ventured on to become one of the most celebrated voice-over artists in Africa. Chilu Lemba’s compelling coming-of-age story offers listeners an insider’s view of not only his hardships and victories but also Zambia’s during the ’80s and ’90s.
His narrative voice is as distinctive as his verbal voice - authentic, expressive, funny, and thought-provoking. It is the personal and honest reflection of a life lived as a mischievous child, an actor, a music writer and performer, a radio presenter, a radio station manager, and finally, a voice.

A glimpse at a Zambian Childhood
I really really enjoyed this! I was sucked into the tale of a mischievous boy and his family. Chilu painted a vivid picture of the landscape, the characters and his journey of navigating through it all. My only complaint is that he set things up for the sequel without letting us know when we can expect it.

Very rarely does a book allow me to recall so many wonderful memories! Thank you for sharing your personal journey, your funny moments had me laughing on my own, but more importantly reminded me of keeping faith, staying strong and always being grateful even when things aren't going as planned.
