Publisher's summary

Twenty years after his iconic memoir Losing My Virginity, the world’s ultimate entrepreneur is back with the rest of the story.

Richard Branson’s Losing My Virginity shared the outrageous tale of how he built Virgin from a student magazine into one of the greatest brands in history. No challenge was too daunting, no opportunity too outlandish to pursue. And each new adventure started with five simple words: “Screw it, let’s do it.”

Now, 50 years after starting his first business, Branson shares the candid details of a lifetime of triumphs and failures and what he really thinks about his unique life and career. Finding My Virginity is an intimate look at his never-ending quest to push boundaries, break rules, and seek new frontiers - even after launching a dozen billion-dollar businesses and hundreds of other companies.

As he led Virgin into the new millennium, Branson fearlessly expanded the brand into new categories such as mobile, media, fitness, and banking and into every corner of the globe - all while preserving its iconoclastic, scrappy spirit. He even brought Virgin into space with Virgin Galactic, the world’s first commercial spaceline. Finding My Virginity takes us behind the scenes of the incredible brains, heart, and sacrifices that have gone into making private spaceflight an imminent reality - even after the biggest crisis Branson has ever faced.

But this book is much more than a series of business adventures. It’s also the story of Branson’s evolution from hotshot entrepreneur to passionate philanthropist and public servant, via Virgin Unite’s environmental and health initiatives and through the Elders, a council of influential global leaders. And it’s the story of his personal quest to become a better son, husband, father, and “grand-dude” to his four grandchildren.

Featuring a supporting cast that includes everyone from Bill Gates to Kate Moss, Nelson Mandela to Barack Obama, this is the gripping account of a man who will never stop reaching for the stars, in more ways than one. Find out how Branson did it for the first time - all over again.

More than a story of money.

Loved the story, the ambitions and behind the scenes background of events and struggles of the Branson family. it's not a story of money, but a relay of motivation, the why and how and the caring that accompanies the actual newlines!

Screw it, let’s do it!

I have never heard of anyone doing 2 autobiographies so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Well, it did not disappoint. Richard Branson is definitely the most interesting man in the world and should start Virgin Beer just so he can make those commercials.
Highly recommend and can’t wait for the third installment of the trilogy that is his life.

Couldn't finish it!

I read a lot and thought this was very dry and had many slow parts. i made it half way and the last couple hours were really a struggle. Read Elon Musk instead, it was better written and the performance was phenomenal.

Fantastic Book!

Well written and compelling coupled with a great narrator and message. I'm very picky about audio books and I recommend this one highly.

Phenomenal in every possible way.

Phenomenal in every possible way. Do not think twice before picking this up. The wisdom this genuinely good and honest man shares in his book is beyond words. Reading this book is like living and absorbing the wisdom of an entire lifetime, if not more... and the performance by Steve West is equally exceptional. 5 stars does no justice.

"Blowing his own horn"

Full disclosure: I only listened to the first 3 hours so maybe down the road it would get more inspirational and entertaining but I just can't get passed the horn blowing happening in the first 3. I listened to Branson's ted talk and was looking forward to an inspirational book- maybe 10% was- too little for me to waste another 15 hrs. Disappointing.

Way too long!

Overall, interesting auto-biography, but over 15 hours?! Whew. The great narration helped get me through this book, but it's extremely long and detailed.

A long rambling brag

I really like autobiographies and have listened to many good ones but this one was very disappointing. It was hard to follow as it just seemed to hop from one random thought about how great he thinks he is to another. I didn't know too much about Richard Branson before this book, he always seemed interesting, but I was left with a bad taste in my mouth for him after this book. I fought my way through most of it after turning it off many times in frustration but couldn't get through the last couple hours.
