Publisher's summary

At 26, Liberty Montgomery has barely begun to live life. Married almost right out of high school, she's known no other life than the one her husband provided. Returning to Liberty Lake, her hometown namesake, with her four-and-a-half-year-old son in tow, Libby doesn't know what to expect. Rediscovering herself and her faith seem like insurmountable obstacles.

Jake Owens has always lived in Liberty Lake. He loves the town and the people in it. Running his father's construction business just seems like a natural progression of life. When Libby returns, bringing with it old feelings he thought he'd long buried, he finds himself wanting to help her in any way he can.

Libby isn't looking for help or friendship. She wants to stand on her own two feet. Love certainly isn't a dream she chases anymore. As a mother, she has her son to consider and her own wants don't enter the picture. Can she take what Jake is offering and find a new life, one that provides all that she has been missing?

Narrator Made The Book

Although as a Christian reader I found the story less than ideal the narrator (Leslie Gray) brought the characters to life. As I listened it was as though I was watching a movie in my minds eye. I will definitely look for other audio books by this narrator.

Sweet, second chance romance

This book is a sweet, second chance romance that tells the story of Liberty Montgomery starting over and building a new life for herself and young son in her hometown of Liberty Lake. Along the way, she rediscovers herself and reconnects with family, friends, and her faith.

I didn’t realize this was a Christian romance until after I started it. It’s not usually a genre I read, but I think it was well done overall.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Leslie Gray, and I really enjoyed both the flow of the story and how the all the character voices were portrayed.

I received a copy of this audio book for free and and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Sweet small town romance

I loved this clean, small town romance. This story was perfect! It was real and raw but sweet and emotional. It was basically all the feels in a book. The fierce and genuine connection they shared and the absolute beauty of their friendship provides a rock solid base to build this engaging story off of. Leslie Gray does a wonderful job narrating and bringing the characters to life.

Sad/sweet read!

This was heart wrenching …to hear her hurts and not be there to take him down. So glad for the HEA and looking forward to her friends’ stories as well. Great job by the narrator.
