Love the story
China has a long way to go in terms of taking stray dogs, but there are lots people with kind and generous heart, situation has got a lot better.

Uplifting!
*spoilers ahead!*
I read this as part of a book club. I was a little hesitant because dog books always make me cry. I have a stressful job, so I try to avoid reading book that may cause me more stress. I may have still cried reading this, but it was worth it for the happy ending! I love how the author incorporates this rescue story with his own past and how his relationships with his wife and pup have helped him face his demons.

TOO LONG FOR SIMPLE STORY
Good narrator. Australian accent. Way too long, though. This could have spared the listener at least 2 hours in completing the tale.

Gobi has My Heart
I almost passed up this book because of the ultra running descriptions but I found it all interesting. I am a dog lover and have a little yellow lab Nina currently curled up and snoozing on her couch. :-) So happy that this story has a great happy ending! Would love to meet and hug Gobi!
