Publisher's Summary

Finding it, refining it, loving it, and actually getting out there and doing it.

Don't waste your life not doing something you aren't brilliant at, not setting the world on fire with your ideas, your thinking, your inventions, your words. It doesn't matter how you do your Thing; what matters is that you do it! And how about turning that Thing into your business, too?

Lucy Whittington is on a mission: she wants everyone in the world to do what they're brilliant at and not just what they're good at. Having done what she was good at (marketing) for a long time, and getting overqualified with an MBA, Lucy realized that her Thing was finding other people's Things and helping them turn them into great businesses that they loved.

In this audiobook, Lucy uses her proven five-step process to help even more people find what they are brilliant at. Find out what you should be doing and how to make a living from it; take advantage of Lucy's expertise, and follow her five-step process for success; be inspired and gain real, practical advice; receive guidance on taking your new business to the next level by creating your Star Plan; become famous for what you do. Imagine being so gifted that the work you are paid to do comes as naturally as breathing and is so enjoyable that you would do it for free.

It can happen. You're gifted at something, and that something is marketable. You can put yourself on the path to your ideal life, but first you have to find your Thing.

Great Book When You Are at a Crossroad

I love that the author is narrating her own book. I don't know whether it was left on purpose or not, but I want to point the producer to the 21:18 mark of Chapter 5 - that was really sweet.

Some people may find the book a bit too high-level, not concrete enough. However I believe it asks the listener the right questions and directs their minds towards finding out what is their thing.

I personally discovered I had known what my thing was more or less all my life, but have always kept it "on the shelf", just barely out of reach as the book says. I am still in the middle and can not wait to see where it goes.
