Publisher's Summary

A new and updated edition of the all-time bestselling book on marriage enhancement and divorce prevention. Since it was first published in 1994, Fighting for Your Marriage has been the bestselling book in its field. As in the original edition, the book offers invaluable advice on achieving better communication and problem-solving skills, using structured techniques to resolve conflicts, sharing a core belief system, understanding commitment and forgiveness, restoring intimacy, increasing fun, and improving your sex life. The authors show that conflict in intimate relationships is as normal and essential as love, but it's how you fight and resolve conflicts that determines the difference between a sustained healthy marriage or a painful divorce.

I've listened to it twice

This book gives some practical tips on marraige. If you follow the advice, I believe it will lead to an improved marriage or relationship. I didn't like the narrator's tone/voice, but the information is useful.

To General

I think the thing I got most from this book, is that issues we are having are common and we are not experiencing something others havent dealt with. There was some basic good information that pointed out some of the stuff we have been doing poorly, but didnt give much real advice for moving forward. It did offer some advice for people that really cant talk or communicate on issues...

Fighting for “my” marriage!

Well....I listened and learned a little bit. The basis of this book was biased with a tilt toward preconceived notions that men and women were set in traditional roles...she nags he doesn’t share....but dated but I found a few useful tips.
