Publisher's summary

Now a Top 100 Best Seller on Amazon!

Being infatuated with my childhood best friend was a beautiful curse.

Our lives were an uphill struggle against every odd, but as long as we had each other...we had everything. Then it was all gone.

Now I've built my life to perfection yet still yearning for that boy I used to know. Then one night, through a chance encounter, I see him.

Riot James.

He's an MMA fighter with a beastly body, roped and corded with muscle and gleaming with sweat. His nose, reminiscent of a Roman gladiator, was bent a little like it's been broken. A few times.

It rattles me the way his intensely dark gaze lingers with mine.

He's familiar, determined, damaged, and there's no escaping him.

But with Riot, nothing is what it seems, and in the span of a single heartbeat, my perfect life is turned inside out.

Again.

Riot and Faith!!

I loved this book so much. I can't really explain how but with a short listen like this I did not expect to be so invested in these characters. I immediately felt the love and connection for these two. I am a epilogue lover and this was a special treat to have a fantastic look into their future. Rachel Woods and Luke Parker are new to me narrators and did an amazing job. Luke is one I will definitely look for more to listen with him. Highly recommend this one!

It's Just A Tease

Rating: 4.5 Stars

If you like a main character that's an athlete than you're going to enjoy this one. His business is where he gets physical. Faith gets a blast from her past. This is a story that I was able to enjoy twice. First time I sat back and listened to what Ms. Woods and Mr. Parker were telling me. I didn't get any indication that they changed their voices when it came to the main characters. That was fine by me because I had no trouble trying to picture what the characters were doing as the story progressed. Both times I came to the same conclusion that the time just went by too quickly.

Just because the time went by so fast doesn't mean that the authors cut any corners in order to get to the Epilogue. I didn't feel like there were any gaps in any of the scenes. Everything flowed nicely. If you've never experienced works by these authors before this would be a great place to start. One great thing about the narrators is that they made the authors' words sing. They brought life to the story.

The second time I listed was while I was outside doing yardwork. I couldn't think of a better way to help make the time go by quickly than to listen to this book. Sad part was that I had more work than the length. But I did agree with myself from the first time, I want more of both the authors and the narrators. And I'm looking forward to the adventure.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Knock out

Nice listen, cute story, but felt like it could have been longer. Overall it is a nice short story, characters are engaging and you will be rooting for them within minutes. Narration was perfect, help you feel the characters.

A quick, steamy listen

A quick, steamy listen, Fighting For Faith reunites childhood best friends Jamie & Laura.

When they meet after so many years, it as if they never were separated. Now going by the names Riot & Faith in an attempt to lay their pasts to rest, the couple sets about relearning each other against the backdrop of the biggest fight of Riot's pre-UFC career. Riot's trainer, who also turns out to be Faith's Uncle Lewis is the couple's biggest obstacle.

It was endearing the way that Faith & Riot had both thought that they were each other's 'The One' from adolescence, and decided to keep searching for each other until they were back together again. I enjoyed the epilogues, which gave us a glimpse into their lives up to a couple decades later.

I must say that the narration was done well. I liked the intonations and the way narrators seemed to immerse themselves in the plot.

This is a fun listen that I recommend.

Quick. Sweet with a bit of first time bite.

Riot (fka Jamie) and Faith (fka Lauren) find each other by coincidence. Her ill timed fate brings to her a scarred, sexy, hot, man willing to step between her and the harm that was coming for her.

My only drawback was the timings used in various place. They were a bit confusing. I love keeping up with ages and time passage. So this took up some of the short amount of time that I had with this quickie. I did enjoy it.

My best part of the story were the narrators. I love. Love. Love when the narrators do a true duo-narration. Rachel and Luke did this very seemlessly. The females sounding like females and that clear masculine tone made for a fantastic listening.
