Likable Characters

Although the performance was good, the same reader has read several other Arias' books, and many times I felts like some scenes were generic character types because the same voice was used for other characters in other books. Having said that, I loved Lola. She is my favorite Arias character to date of the six of her novels I've listened to.

In all honesty, the animosity between the two made it hard to see them end up together in the beginning. But this is J.J. Arias and I trust her process... and it did not let me down! The way they slowly let go of things and stopped fighting each other... they each became exactly what the other needed. Such a good story!!

I thought last Dominion book was good this one was even better!!

Adriana and Roxy was hot but damn Carmen and Lola!! wow they are sexy as hell!!.. I loved it 🤩 At first I didn't like Lola very much but by the end she grabbed my heart ❣️.. it's like you slowly understand her personality and the emotional damage a dysfunctional childhood can cause and Carmen is just sooo sweet and listening to her break through Lola's walls was just as sweet I couldn't stop reading.. and this narrator is starting to grow on me .. I thought I'd ever only listen to Lori Prince but now I have a 2nd fav narrator

So, Lola and all of her feral kitten energy is truly infuriating in the beginning. But it's so great watching her learn to open up and trust those around her. And I love seeing the ladies of Dominion slowly turn into this beautiful queer found family.
