Not so shocking!

Cade Bowman was flying home after eight weeks away working a job when the power went out. The plane made an emergency landing in San Francisco Bay. Cade’s first thought was his daughter in Las Vegas with a friend for a wedding. That would be his first place to go. If he could locate his daughter, then he could think about getting home. Cade’s daughter Lilly and her friend Piper were having problems avoiding the ne’er-do-wells in Las Vegas. Zeke and Donny, proud of his old El Camino were a part of those ne’er-do-wells. Cade’s wife Samantha, back home in Durango, Colorado was struggling to maintain stability in the face of chaos. We’ll follow all the characters mentioned as they encounter several encounters, some good, some not so much. We may not get to Las Vegas on this trip, that appears to be saved for the next volume. The story is pretty good with likable characters, for the most part, but unique and tension-filled it is not. Three.point.five for a good beginning. Ok listen

Much of the same sort of EMP story. Still not bad. Father separated from daughter in one place and wife in another trying to get to them. Daughter and wife both run across trouble as does the father.

Awesome Audiobook!

I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. The story was immersive. I felt like I was there, alongside the characters. It made me feel gratitude for my everyday life and appreciate the privilege of small comforts. The characters were well-developed and believably real. I despised the thugs and villains, while rooting for the heroes and heroines. The story had non-stop action and tension. The narrator did an excellent job. The ending was a bit of a cliffhanger but concluded at a good place. I can hardly wait for the next book in the series.

Quarantine Audio Feature

World in Collapse delivers. It was an EMP story line that draws you in . The narrator does a great job bringing the characters and chapters to life. Can't wait for Book 2.

Excellent start to the World in collapse series!

Having previously read this story, the experience of listening to it as narrated by Miles Meili was incredible. Along with being a really good post-apocalyptic story the visual imagery from the story and narration made it feel like I was watching a film. This World in Collapse is a series to follow if you are a fan of this genre or if you are a fan of William Oday.
