All the Feels

This book had many of the same ingredients in other romances: hot guy, good sex, decent story. It stood apart from other books by communicating the emotions, high and low, better than most. The characters were honest with each other, and I felt that the author relayed that same honesty to the reader by allowing us to feel the pain and joy along with the characters. Definitely on my "will listen again" list, and definitely credit worthy.

It was a great story! Just a enough heat to keep me listening. Powered through it in 2 days over the weekend. Definitely recommend.

Heartbreaking + joyous

This book really worked its way into my heart toward the end. While the author overused phrases such as “glowered at me” and “kissed me deeply” throughout the book, I was able to look past it and enjoy the story. I really got into in the last two hours — couldn’t stop listening at all. I even got so emotionally involved that I audible gasped at a few parts towards the end.

Had I read this one on my own, there is no way I would have been able to perfect the Scottish accent that Angelica Lee uses when she acted as Caleb. She was phenomenal and really brought that character to life.

I felt that the author was trying to evoke empathy for Ava at the beginning and it seemed too forced. Toward the end, however, I started to feel more connected to Ava and Caleb.

Some parts broke my heart, and other parts brought me joy.

Loved it!

Samantha Young is an exceptional romance author. This book was one of my favorites by her. What I like about her novels is how well she describes the feelings of her characters. The story was a little unusual, which I especially appreciated. Great job!

You will LOVE this book

I completely enjoyed On Dublin Street and this book is just as good if not better. I am going to get more by this author. You will not be disappointed with this story.

Perfect.

I picked up Fight Or Flight at a thrift store, I didn’t know anything about the book. I bought it because I loved all Samantha Young’s books I’ve read before. I bought the audiobook while Audible had a sale. I went into the store blindly and I have no regrets, the story surprised me by how good it was. The plot was awesome, the characters fantastic. Every minute of the book was worth my time, I was entertained, felt in love with the story and all the characters.

This book is one of the best love stories I’ve read in the last few months. It’s realistic and honest. I highly recommend it!!!
