When it said ghost stories I was hoping for a chill or two. instead I was bored to tears . Not only where these ghost stories rather dull so was the narrator her inflections and rhythm got annoying before she was even done with the first story. I want my money back i

I agree on narration

Good narration is the heart of an audiobook - cannot understand this narrator and
just gave up on it. And believe me, I listen to lots of ghost stories and mysteries.

The narrator is the problem with these stories

Do you like to hear an extremely affected voice narrate stories in what sounds to be a forced-English accent? It is so over-acted it detracts from every story. Her pronunciation and emphasis are as irritating as they are distracting and this all takes away from every story she reads. Hard pass on anything narrated by Cathy Dobson. (Maybe this is less annoying to someone who was born and raised in Brittain? ) Now, if this were Patrick Stewart narrating this, I'm sure I would have been riveted to these same stories, so it's not the accent, it's the jerky-timing and forced enunciation.

The worst performance ever,

I just couldn’t stand listening to this women’s voice for another second after the third story! She ends every sentence with a reverberation!!! Total waste of money!

Took multiple tries to listen to this book.

I'm dissappointed in this book. I had thought 30 hours of ghost stories was great but the narrator kept putting me to sleep. The narrator was difficult to understand and was mostly monotone. I wonder what my opinion would be if another narrator read it.

Annoying

Stories may be good but the reader’s voice is so grating I couldn’t finish it.

Not happy with this purchase

The narrator was extremely dry and hard to understand when she changed her voice for multiple characters. It also sounds like she is trying to have a monotonous argument with herself.
