In 2009, people were introduced to stories of hit men, specters, crooks, playful spirits, and empowered heroes. Now, a new batch of stories have come alive.

Come to a place where mice gain the ability to speak, where super humans work middle-class jobs, where a mythical man grants chances to feeble victims, and where science has created murder rooms or genetically mutated monsters. Discover worm holes, the supernatural, and a bit of lunacy. Encounter the unexpected.

Contents include:

Always worth a second look

So many good short stories all rolled up in one. The only thing I feel the book needed was for the narrator to say the chapter # at the beginning of each story. There were a few that I didn’t realize had ended.
I received this free for an honest review from the author or narrator.

Worth a second look

I enjoyed some of the stories on this audio. There were times when they ran together and I did not realize the tory had changed. My favorite was the one where they need to take off their metal studs to get into the night clubI can't remember the name.Mark Sando was a fine narrator.I was given this book by the narrator, author or publisher free for an honest review.

Maybe it is worth a second look....

.... as for me I probably didn't get it the first time around I suppose. A few stories were entertaining and creative, but I am not too enthusiastic about the majority.

Most of the time I found it difficult to know what is going on - and I don't mean language-wise. Some of the stories I found quite surreal and sometimes it was hard to know the end of one story from the beginning of the next. The voice of the narrator sounded the same most of the time / was kind of monotonous to me. So maybe that is why. Or maybe the book is just not down my alley at all.

I did not like the book too much - but maybe you do. Feel free to give it a try and prove me wrong.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Never a dull story...

I enjoyed this book immensely! Every story was different! I can't wait to read more! This is the first of Roberto Scarlato's books for me, but I plan on reading many more! The narrator, Mark Sando, did a fantastic job bringing each and every story to life! I can't choose a favorite one! They were well written and I lost myself in each story!
