Publisher's summary

Women is a novella about falling in love with a woman, about loving women, about being a woman. It is a novella about a mother and a daughter. A novella about female friendships that blur the line of romance. A novella about a woman who, after having her first sexual relationship with a woman, goes on a series of (comical) OK Cupid dates with other women. A novella about a woman in her 20s who doesn't know if she's gay or straight or bi. A novella about falling in love and having your heart broken and figuring out what to do next. The book is an urgent recall of heartbreak, of a stark identity in crisis.

Worth your time

It’s a quick listen and it’s a perceptive, vivid, quirky and emotional story about love, sexuality, obsession, living with heartbreak, and finding your true spirit when life is chaotic all around and inside you. I really enjoyed it. In a low-key, real-life way, the narrator here is inspirational.

This was good.
Very good.
Lauren Fortgang was fantastic.

Relatable. Real. Happy. Sad. Tortured and ultimately a survivor.

Worth the time and space you give it.

This was just such a great listen. Even though it was long, it really hit a nerve and had to split it into 2 episodes.

I enjoyed the innocence of the storyline.

I enjoyed the story. The reader was good as well. Takes me back to my 1st ever time of doing this or that. Ultimately, you know whats coming

Great Narration

A very good story. It’s almost not long enough. I enjoyed tagging along with her.

Devastatingly Relatable

This was my first introduction to the author and I’m pleasantly surprised. This reads like a memoir of my own similar experiences, and although I thought I knew how I wanted this to end, I am relieved that this isn’t a fairytale novella. The author writes from the heart, seemingly, from experience and I binged this book in a day. Totally addicted :)

Simple but not; it is captivating

When I first started listening to this story, I didn’t like the narration. However, as the story progressed, it soon seemed as if the voice matched the story perfectly. The writing is simplistic yet captivating, and the story is enticing. It feels relatable in a peculiar way. I enjoyed it.

Great novella, okay narration

I absolutely adore this novella. It brings to the surface something that everyone goes through in some way and helped me come to grips with my own heartbreak. Caldwell pulls you though the character’s worst moments fabulously. As for the narration, I wish the narrator had evoked more of the emotion I felt when reading the story. Unfortunately, the narrator didn’t convey that heart wrenching feeling Caldwell illustrates so precisely with her words.
